You run out to a rooftop, only to see a helicopter flying away from your position. It looks as though the chopper is headed for a mall not far away, so that is your best bet. You hear a few explosions coming from inside the building, so it's time to act.
(Figured I may as well make a last effort to revive the story.)

-the guy in armor looks around slightly depressed by the helicopter leaving, after a quick check of what he has, he looks over and notices a sewer man-hole, and makes a noise towards that-
