Rules for Everyone
The is no god mode cheat. Your character is not Neo. You will miss a shot if you're not looking down the sights and shooting from beyond the effective range.
Hollywood and videogames never get their damned facts straight. Meaning the belief that Kevlar protects you from every single bullet, the Barrett is the best sniper rifle in the world and can pull off a mile off shot, that little box attached to a gun is a magic bullet factory and a normal bullet to a gas tank will explode a car.
It doesn't. Kevlar can be pierced by full sized rifle rounds like .308 Winchester, the Barrett M82/107 .50 BMG sniper series rifles can shoot past a mile but with extreme difficulty and has been superseded by a .338 Lapua which is responsible for a shot that killed someone over a mile and half away while being inferior in power to a .50BMG, those little boxes are called "magazines" and look up the gun they are attached to to figure out how much ammo they hold, and only tracers and certain explosive rounds can ignite gas fumes.
Just because some fellow pulled off a mile and a half shot with a .338 Lapua doesn't mean every character can. Refer to the Basics of Firearms for more info.
Act like a god, rely on a 'no player death' rule, and you will be punished. Every character can die, from my own to a new arrival's but I will not kill someone for idiotic reasons. If your character does get killed, that doesn't mean that you are booted from the rp unless I say you are. Simply make a new character and the slate will be wiped clean.
Posting...Please put a picture of your character in your posts. If you're moving your character to a different thread put "Exit" at the bottom of the post and then a "Entering from..." You get the idea.
Don't post in some annoying light color that's impossible to read without highlighting the text. Post at least 4 sentences in every post. Writer's block is understandable but don't have it at inopportune times. OOCs don't belong here unless it's at the bottom of an in character post.
Rules for civilian survivors
-Civilians are limited to automatic weaponry made before 1990. Even so I'm limiting this because full automatics cost tens of thousands of dollars to afford.
-Civilians don't have access to military grade explosives. Period.
Rules for Bio Organic Weapon Characters
1. You aren't invincible. The general weakness of every B.O.W. from the humble zombie to full fledged tyrants is decapitation. No complex living organism can go on to survive once its brain is removed from the equation. This logic is applied to the Nemesis T-Type as well since the parasite that replaces it's brain is still in its skull.
2. Aside from the Marduk, B.O.W.s don't look like normal people. There is no Alice and no Wesker. Mutants don't sparkle!
3. No telekinesis or anything where your character "controls things with their mind".
Profiles and Acceptance
When you've filled out your character's profile go to the Pandemic profile subforum and post it in a seperate thread with your character's name in the title. I'll be along shortly to approve or disapprove of your character.
