Tetroneaque was giddy with excitement as he readied his experiment. He'd built the small spacecraft himself... well he'd designed it and programmed the fabrication facility to create the spacecraft to his exact specifications before adding his own creations and devices to it. He was going to be the one piloting it, so he'd made safety his number one priority. In spite of his concern for safety no one else was willing to test pilot his creation, let alone test out the most important part of it. It was the work of several decades on his part, a device that would allow for instantaneous travel to any point in the universe! If his theory was correct ( which they were about eight out of ten times ) then his device would open up a stable wormhole and allow his craft to pass through it to anywhere he wished. No longer would his kind need to rely on simple light speed technology and be bound to their one galaxy. Soon the Kit'aru would be able to explore the infinite vastness of the entire universe! The thought was tantalizing, and would make him go down in history as one of the greatest scientists to have ever lived!
The purple furred Kit'aru was dressed in his usual garments, what most would probably call primitive. Yet he was always one to prefer comfort over fashion, and the simple shirt and pants were fine for him. He'd packed a few other spare articles of clothing as well, just in case something happened and he was stranded in space a few days or something. He doubted anything would go wrong though as he started the thrusters and took off from his research facility, entering space and flying a short ways from the planet's gravitational sphere of influence. Once he was free of any outer influences on his spacecraft he activated the experimental device. Sure enough a rift in space opened before him! His theory had been correct! Tetroneaque let out an elated sound of excitement, pumping one fist in the air in celebration before piloting his craft into the rift.
That's when it all went wrong. He hadn't anticipated the effects of the rift, nor could he have. Upon exiting it he was sent hurtling faster than light speed out the other side, the rift sealing behind him. Warning lights went off inside the craft as he did everything he could to decelerate it, yet the effects of faster than light travel had wrecked havoc on the systems and he was near to blacking out. Everything seemed to be moving in slow motion as the small craft sped across an unknown (to him) galaxy. He managed to slow the craft down to light speed, falling out of hyper space. It seemed that was as slow as things were going to get for him though, the systems on board unable to take the stress.
"Oh no, oh no, oh no!!! This isn't good!" He was near to panicking as his small craft continued to hurtle nearly out of control through unknown territory. Soon the proximity sensors blared and he looked up from the controls just in time to spot a planet on screen, and he was rapidly approaching it! At the speed his craft was going it was going to be impossible to avoid crashing. Tetroneaque fired all the retro boosters, doing whatever else he could to slow his spacecraft down anymore and then he strapped himself in with every bit of safety gear he had.
His ship slowed down more as it hit the atmosphere of the unknown planet, making his ship light up brightly from all the friction. Then the ship crashed, plowing a large ditch as it skipped across the world's surface before coming to a stop. The trench it left behind was many miles long, easily visible from the air... as were the fires his craft had started from the heat bleeding off it. Inside however was a very different scene, as the entirety of the cockpit had filled with a foam the instant of impact to protect the pilot. Tetroneaque's exo-suit had also gone into full effect, giving yet another layer of protection as he crashed. Even with all the extra layers of protection, the force of landing had still knocked him unconscious.

After a long day, Janlu had some time to herself. Everyone else off doing whatever, the temple brimming with life, but she needed some time to slip away. Locked away in the seclusion of her room, she meditated for a while, allowing herself to break loose from her everyday facade and the adverse effects of too much self control. After a while she could feel some change...a rift in the galaxy, like something was broken and then just as quickly repaired. It felt like something big and yet so far away, but it was intriguing to the girl. Feeling deeper into it she had a vision, only a short moment, an image of furry creature in a ship. Concentrating on this for a bit, she felt....something was coming. Breaking her meditation and following an impulse she could not explain, Janlu gave into the urge to investigate. Something was drawing her outside, something bi---BOOM---a flash of light and rumble that could be felt for many miles around....a crash...a big one. No more dawdling...she HAD to investigate. Knowing others may soon do the same, Janlu didn't hesitate, rushing to the hangar for a ship, not feeling she needed to alert the others....they would have known....who wouldn't?
Snatching a helmet, the Outcast hopped in a ship and fired her up, rushing outside to get a bird's eye view of the incident. There was something non-threatening about it, but the urgency remained. After a little searching, she spotted the trail and crater, decending to a clearing nearby where she would land. Fire....there was a lot of it...thankfully not lighting much around it as the crash kicked up so much soil around it that it buried most flamable things in its path, but where is the pilot? Through the smoke and rubble, Janlu trudged, carefully avoiding thr fires where possible. She coud feel a consciousness somewhere inside, not moving, but alive. Standing firmly in place, she peeled away the hull, forcing her way to the being inside, but she still didn't see anything...foam...a lot of it...but she could feel someone was there. It was getting hot now...way too hot, she had to work fast to dig the pilot out. Finding the pilot, she flung him out, foam, suit and all, placing him in a seat of the ship she brought. At this point she hadn't even realized how much smoke she had inhaled, only a coughing fit to alert her. She jumped into the cockpit and flew out to safety, an explosion from the crashed ship telling her she left at the right moment, but she couldn't stop coughing, at least not long enough to make it back to the temple safely. Janlu found another clearing and set the ship down, crunching on some of the debris from the other ship and rested.

Tetroneaque's suit had sealed him up just in time, letting him breath freely as the crash foam filled the cockpit and kept him from being smashed to pieces. The armored suit had also kept him from inhaling any smoke as he was rescued, leaving him in better condition than his rescuer for the moment. The loud explosion of his ship being totally obliterated caused his armor covered ears to twitch of their own accord though he still wasn't conscious, though he was starting to come to.
The Kit'aru felt a sensation of moving as he let out an unintelligible groan. His hand slowly raised toward his head, trying to rub the throbbing headache away. Yet he only heard a small clank as the material of his glove touched his helmet. That didn't seem right, but his mind was still foggy from the recent crash. His eyes slowly opened behind the visor of his helmet. It was bright. Too bright for space. Wait! There had been a planet! His eyes opened totally as he looked around in a panic, that sense of dread only rising when he realized that he wasn't in his own ship. He didn't know where he was, and something bad had happened to activate his emergency exo-suit. The device was made to absorb the shock of a crash some as well as filter unknown planets' atmosphere into breathable oxygen.
He turned his head then, still feeling panicked and noticed the oddest creature sitting next to him. It seemed to be female, but it was not a known species to him. The most striking feature to him was the extreme lack of fur. She seemed totally devoid of it, except for the long flowing patch on top of her head and two thin little strips above her eyes. It simply struck him as outlandish that the first sentient alien he should encounter should be so lacking in fur. He shook his head slowly, still not quite understanding what was going on. A low noise that was half chuckle and half moan escaped him, his helmet filtering the noise slightly. His body ached, but at least he was pretty sure that nothing was broken. He had so many questions to ask, but his body seemed determined to keep him from his goals for the moment as he drifted back toward unconsciousness.

Naku had been viewing reports from his sources that he had gathered over the years. Keeping track of the war that was going on outside their system. Trying to find anything at all that would resemble something that could upset the balance of this war against the Republic. He was in the middle of reading when he felt it, a disturbance in the force, followed closely by a vision, a ship, small, but nonthreatening, appearing from a rift in space, that soon disappeared as the ship left at faster then light speed. Then the view of their planet. Something was coming, from an unknown region of space. And it was coming in fast. As if on que, he felt Janlu's sense of urgency and curiosity, followed closely by a ground shaking impact. Naku looked out and saw smoke knowing something was wrong. He placed the datapad down on the table near him, then left his quarters, heading towards the Hanger bay.
Naku reached the hanger bay just as Janlu left, knowing she was on her way was a sure sign that things would turn out alright, but he still needed to asses the situation. He hit his com system that was connected to his fighter, and called his R3 unit to activate his fighter. As soon as he arrived, the Canopy was open, and he was in the air in two minutes. He as soon as he saw the trail of the crash landing that lead to the crater, he saw the ship explode, followed closely by Janlu's ship landing in a clearing near by. He felt something was wrong and reached out to Janlu, only to find her unconscious. And he felt a creature that was also unconscious.
Naku flew to the clearing, landing near Janlu and walking jumping out of his fighter, running towards Janlu to make sure she was ok. Seeing she was unharmed, but covered in smug from the smoke, he figured she had breathed in too much smoke saving the creatures life. He felt inside Janlu, seeing that she still had some remains of smoke in her lunges, he tapped into the force, slowly pulling out the smoke from her lungs, making sure it was all out. Once he did this, he looked to that creature before him. He had never seen a creature like this one, covered in fur seemingly from what he saw. He would guess he was a wookie, but his ears changed that thought. That and the fact that he's wearing a space suit, which wookies clearly don't. He would wait for Janlu to wake up before he would return to his fighter and escort her back. He didn't feel anything threatening about this creature, but he was not going to take a risk with an unknown.

Janlu sat there, shallow breathing, head fuzzy, resting as some fresh air comming in, trying to catch her breath. She bearly heard her passenger stirring, but she, herself, was not feeling quite capable of checking on him. Another coughing fit...she felt as if she'd caugh up a lung, it was a sickening feeling before a sharp gasp...she could breathe well, this told her some help had arrived. Getting up slowly in her seat, rubbing her eyes and taking deep breaths, she looked out and saw Naku, giving him a reassuring nod that she was ok now. Turning in place, Janlu checked back at her passenger, still unconcious. He would need great attention to make sure he's alright. Though it seemed the most he needed for now, was rest. The flight home might be just enough time....maybe? The temple wan't too far away, even a few hours walk if they had to, surely no time at all by air. She gave one last check at her systems and prepared to return. For now, the best thing would seem to get this visitor home...at least home of the Outcasts. There would be more time to talk later when she could ask more questions, but he would have to be concious first.

Tetroneaque let out another groan, not awake yet. His exo-sut had finished scanning the local atmosphere and determined that it was rich in oxygen and quite breathable. There was no toxins present or any other anomaly that the suit could detect. There was no excessive heat or extreme cold either. It was then that the suit decided to retract back to it's inert form, lacking anything to protect it's owner from.
The strange armored suit started to flow down the Kit'aru in an almost liquid like fashion, revealing more of his furred form. Eventually the suit had condensed down into a single bracer on the creature's left wrist and had they not seen the change, would have thought it merely a decorative bracelet of some kind. The Outcasts' guest was wearing a simple green shirt and pair of grey pants of a soft but durable material. He had no foot gear now that the suit had gone inert, nor gloves so it was easy to see his the paw-pads on the bottom of his feet and the small claws where fingernails would have been. Apparently this creature was totally furred and had a very canine like muzzle. He was short too, barely four and half feet tall...though his large fuzzy ears added another six inches to his height. Another striking feature were the three tails he had, and the tails were slowly starting to swish back and forth as he was slowly regaining consciousness.

Thanatos had just been experimenting in a room that had what he was looking for. Medical supplies, beakers, tools for his work. Finally some measure of a working environment he was most suited to. He began most of his day rearranging, cleaning, and making his work area presentable to his needs. Now all he needed was a place for his workings with the force. He would have to create it with the material that this temple was built with. Unfortunately he did not know. Perhaps Janlu would tell him, or direct to someone who did know.
However the plans he had for the laboratory would come later. Right now someone jolted him out of his reverie. Not only that but smoke appeared on the horizon when he looked outside. It was a ways off but it was noticable. Plus Thanatos could smell the smoke. He watched as Janlu and later someone out the temple followed out of the temple hangar bay. Thanatos had no intention of finding out what the commotion was about however. He did put on a commlink just in case there would be a call for help.
So he went back to his work.

Janlu noticed the movement as they entered the hangar bay, finally landing the ship in its place. Removing her helmet, she looked back at the creature, noticing his suit was gone. Strange...but she would ask later along with her other many questions. She was most curious about this visitor, not having encountered any species like him on any of her travels, except perhaps a few animals that may have been somewhat similar, but surely not nearly as intriguing. The changeling sat there watching him for a moment as his tails began to move, hoping he would be able to exit the ship on his own. Feeling something on her face, she brushed it off, only to realize it was soot...she was covered in it. Sighing, she sat back normally in the seat, deciding to wait a few minutes and opening the hatch to exit.

Tetroneaque's ears twitched as he regained consciousness, having heard the hatch open. His eyes flickered open again as he sat up in his seat, looking around in confusion. Oh dear, it seems I wasn't dreaming earlier about that crash... where am I though? Hmmm? he thought to himself before his ears perked straight up in surprise as he spotted the alien looking right at him. He froze like a deer caught in the headlights, not sure what was going on. Did this alien mean to help him or capture him? It could be either seeing as he'd been rescued from his ship before it exploded in a grand fashion.
Tetroneaque's ears laid down against his head as he lowered his gaze slightly in a submissive gesture, in no position to do much else. "H-hello... Where am I and who are you?" He asked in his own language, which most would say sounded like a series of short barks and yips. He could see some confusion on the alien's face and mentally scolded himself for being so stupid. Of course they wouldn't know his language! Instead he fell back on another form of communication. His gaze went back to the alien's eyes and then he sent her a telepathic message.
"Hello. I come in peace." his voice stated inside of her mind, clear as a bell and easily understood. It was a bit cliche, but he meant it. The alien would also be able to sense the truth in his brief mental communication with her, and he awaited a reply from her. He was a bit surprised and confused that she hadn't already made a mental greeting to him.

Naku had followed Janlu back, as a way of escort, in case this new creature had awoken and attacked her, which would have caused her ship to lose control. It was a way to make sure that she was safe. He was cautious of this creature, despite the force telling him otherwise. There are those that can manipulate the force in a way to give off false signals, and he would make sure their new arrival was friendly before he would extend it a welcome. Once they landed, Naku made sure the fighter was shut down completely before exiting and walking up towards Janlu's ship. Where he waited for her to open the canopy so that he may help her get the new arrival out of her ship and onto a bed.

Janlu marveled at the stranger with the deepest curiosity, "Hello," she greeted as he opened his eyes. Seeing him lower his ears before he ...spoke? she could tell he was nervous. His words were foreign, but not too unfamiliar. She had learned to understand general meaning from various similar species and this had an inquisitive tone, easy enough to tell, but communication would be strained nevertheless unless she could figure out a better way t--- She lifted her head in surprise at the voice in her head, she wasn't expecting it, but she returned a smile with his words, extending her hand, something she would rarely do, but something she felt was necessary. Hopefully he would see it as a friendly gesture and accompany her out of the ship.

Tetroneaque didn't hear any mental response, instead the alien bared her teeth at him. He thought that perhaps he'd done something very wrong then, his ears staying in their lowered position. Yet the extending of her hand seemed to give a different signal to him. Even if he was a prisoner or guest it would be unwise to ignore the offered contact, so he reluctantly reached out to accept what he hoped was just a handshake. He still couldn't fathom why she continued to bare her teeth at him (as smiling wasn't something he'd seen among his own kind). He wanted to ask if he'd done something wrong, but was afraid to send anymore thoughts to the alien.
Who would have thought that first contact with a sentient alien species would be so nerve wracking? he thought to himself with chagrin as his fuzzy hand touched the alien female's hand. He still had a very worried look to his eyes, very confused with the conflicting signals he was getting from this creature's body language.

Janlu could feel the tension as she held out her hand, but through his nervousness, the stranger seemed to be willing enough to take her hand. That connection she always tries to avoid with others seemed to be the only way she could communicate with this stranger and he had accepted. The skin contact was enough for her to get a sense for him and she understood, immediately covering her mouth as she now knew her smile bothered him. Don't be afraid, I'm not going to hurt you... she transmitted, hoping he would be reassured now that she could return his chosen form of communication. She had noticed Naku waiting just outside, but it was more important to take this interaction slowly and carefully.

Tetroneaque seemed to calm visibly when she stopped baring her teeth at him, yet he got the distinct feeling that she hadn't meant for the gesture to be aggressive. His next surprise was when he heard her voice in his head. The Kit'aru's ears perked straight up and his tails started to wag a bit. He could sense the truth in the thoughts she sent to him and it did much to set him at ease.
"Oh thank goodness! I was a bit worried when you didn't respond to me instantly. Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Tetroneaque Swiftpaw Tailchaser, I'm a Kit'aru and head of research and development on a great many things. I was currently testing an experimental rift generator in an attempt to travel beyond my kind's galaxy. It seems it worked...sort of." The mental conversation took only a moment, ending with a bit of a nervous chuckle sounding from his throat. It was obvious that he was still a bit uneasy with his situation, but being able to communicate was a definite relief.

Janlu withdrew her hand to give it a rest as she saw the visitor's relief and heard his story. She tried repeting his name to herself, having quickly forgotten it as soon as she heard it, trying to absorb everything he told her. Ohh....so you're from another galaxy? Well, that would certainly explain a few things.... She paused for a moment before remembering, I'm sorry...where are my manners? I am Janlu...my situation is a bit more complex, however, it would need much explaining. Would you like to go out? You can meet the others and we can learn from each other little by little. She ended with a sweet smile, forgetting that it had bothered the Kit'aru and then quickly remembering, covering her mouth as it was almost an involuntary smile of genuine care. From there she would lead him out exiting the ship and looking back to see if he was coming.
