➟ Natsuki was originally named Natsumi and had a twin brother named Natsuki, he died when they were both little from a disease and, because there was no male descendant to take the throne when their father would die, her father decided to change Natsumi's name and raise her a a boy, which she started hating later on. She was trained to fight as a samurai of the Murakami clan and was taught other things as a leader of the clan. Later her father died, and she became the next head, but abandoned her ways as a boy and started dressing like a girl once more. Even so, she still has a very tomboyish attitude and is very strong willed, she also enjoys battling and humiliating other men by defeating them in combat.

➟ Amaterasu was originally a girl named Akimitsu, her village was under attack by a demon and they made her a sacrifice to the demon. She was killed, but the demon ended up taking pity on her and gave her some of its power making her a Kitsune. Even though she came back to life, she no longer remembers her life before becoming one, and wanders the world assisting humans instead of harming them. She also has been searching for the kitsune who helped her, who she now calls "master", though he was most likely killed since there are not many kitsunes left.
