Monday's Art/Decoration: Rainbow Moblie What You'll Need: 1. One paper plate. 2. Paper streamers or wide ribbon in rainbow colors. 3. Scissors. 4. White glue. 5. Ribbon or string for hanging. 6. Shamrock garland or, cut your own shamrocks from green construction paper.
How to Make It: 1. Cut the paper plate in half.
2. Cut a 40-inch length of streamer in each color.
3. Cut each length up the middle to create two long strips of each color.
4. Reserve one set of rainbow color strips for another project or for a second Rainbow Mobile.
5. Use one strip of each color. Glue the red streamer strip around the top curve of the paper plate. Make sure to center the streamer so you have equal lengths hanging off each side.
6. Repeat with each color, moving your way down from red to orange, then yellow, green, blue and lastly purple.
7. Add one more thin purple strip to the back of the plate to fill the gap in the center.
8. Tie a piece of ribbon into a knot, then glue to the back of the plate to use as a hanger.
Tips Foam plates work well for this project. They have smooth edges and paint sticks right to them.
Make a 3-D rainbow by painting two paper plate halves. Glue them together and hang your shamrocks from the bottom.

Tuesday's Art/Decoration: Leprechaun Hat What You'll Need: 1. One half gallon round ice cream container, clean and dry. 2. Two of three sheets of green construction paper. 3. One sheet of yellow or gray construction paper. 4. One sheet of black construction paper. 5. Scissors. 6. Ruler. 7. Pen. 8. Double stick tape or fold regular tape. You know, in a circle. 9. Large circular object(possible the lid of the container.)
How to Make It: 1. Trace around the large circular object on the green construction paper with the pen.
2. Cut out the circle.
3.Use the double stick tape to adhere the circle to the bottom of the ice cream container.
4.Cut a piece of green construction paper to fit around the container. You may need two pieces of construction paper or be able to piece them together.
5. Use the double stick tape to adhere the construction paper around the container.
6. Cut a strip about 2" wide out of the black construction paper.
7. Cut a 4" square out of the gray or yellow construction paper.
8.Cut a rectangle in the middle of the gray construction paper about 1 1/4" x 2". Discard the little piece of construction paper. Hint: Fold the square into fourths and cut a square out of the middle of the folded area. Open up the square. 9. Check positioning of the black band by laying it around the hat about an inch above the brim. Cut off any excess construction paper where it meets in the back.
10. Lay the gray or yellow (buckle) over the black band as shown in the photograph. Once the layout is satisfactory, tape in place.

Wednesday's Recipe: Green Eggs and Ham(a little Dr. Seuss for ya.) What You'll Need: 1. Cooked Ham off the bone. It's easier to make green. 2. Eggs. 3. Green Food Coloring. 4. Vegetable Oil.
How to Make It: 1. Prepare the ham. Cut as many slices of ham as you need. Add a little water to some green food dye, in a bowl, and soak the slices of ham in it. Ham from the bone should absorb the green color quite readily.
2. Prepare the eggs. Crack your eggs into the mixing bowl and beat them until the whites and yolks are mixed. Add some green food dye to the eggs and mix it in until the mixture is evenly green. Add a little salt and/or pepper if you like.
3. Prepare the pan. Pour some cooking oil into the pan and heat it on a stove; use just enough oil to lightly cover the surface of the pan, tilt the pan so that the oil covers the whole cooking surface.
4. Pour in the eggs first and cook; when they are almost ready, throw in the ham (remember you are using pre-cooked ham so this only needs a light frying). If the ham is not green enough, add a few more drops of dye. 5. When the Green Eggs and Ham are ready, serve them on a plate and eat them using only a fork, as the Nameless Sceptic does in the book.

Thursday's Art/Decoration: Stand-up Shamrock What You'll Need: 1. Green cardstock or cardboard from a cereal box (or other stiff paper) 2. A tube from a roll of toilet paper 3. Green paint 4. Brush 5. Scissors Optional: glitter, markers, googly eyes, etc.
How to Make It: 1. Cut the toilet paper tube in half, creating a short cylinder (roughly 2 inches tall). Each stand-up shamrock needs half a tube. 2. On the half-tube, cut two 1/2 inch slits, one on each side (this is where you will insert the paper shamrock).
3. Using stiff cardboard (for example, from a cereal box), cut out a large shamrock.
4. Paint the shamrock and the tube green. Let them dry.
5. When the paint is dry, add decorations to the shamrock if you like (for example, details made with markers, glitter, googly eyes, etc.). And don't forget to sign it.
6.Insert the shamrock into the slits in the tube. You now have your own free-standing shamrock to help you celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

Saturday's Recipe: Clever Clovers What You'll Need: 1. Waxed paper 2. Three yogurt covered mini pretzels 3. One/fourth teaspoon vegetable oil 4. One/fourth cup white chocolate chips 5. Green icing 6. Decorating sugar
How to Make It: 1. To make a batch, cover a work surface with a sheet of waxed paper. For each clover, arrange three yogurt-covered mini pretzels and a pretzel section.
2. Combine 1/4 teaspoon vegetable oil with 1/4 cup white chocolate chips and melt them together in the microwave according to the chips' package directions. Dab the mixture between the pretzel pieces to adhere them. Let the chocolate harden.
3. Working with one clover at a time, pipe the edges and stem with green icing (we used a #8 round piping tip), then quickly sprinkle it with decorating sugar (we used white, light green, and dark green).
Tips To save sugar, sprinkle each clover on a small piece of waxed paper. After you've covered a few treats, use the paper to funnel the extra sugar back into its jar.
