Power(s): Marshall's abilities have been shown to go beyond that of a traditional vampire, as he has been shown to possess the powers of levitation, pyrokinesis, telekinesis, invisibility, and necromancy, near instantaneous self-healing, the spooky vampire walk, as well as the ability to shape shift into numerous monstrous forms, including a bat, a wolf, a reptilian creature, or a tentacled monster. His shape-shifting powers might be an ability inherited from his father, as he demonstrated he could transform into demonic creatures as well. Also unlike traditional vampires, Marshall is capable of sustaining himself on "shades of red," such as the color in strawberries, and is not limited to surviving on blood. According to the note he left on her door in "Marshall's Closet," he gets lucid dreams when he's eaten tomatoes.

Personality: Marshall is described as a wild rocker boy. Centuries of wandering in different kinds of lands have made him a fearless daredevil. He is a lover of all things exotic and still travels the land often. Unlike traditional vampires, Marshall is able to sustain himself solely on "shades of red," rather than blood. This means he can suck the color out of anything red and cause it to lose its hue. He has a mischievous personality and is not intimidated by anything. Despite seeming evil at first, Marshall is a trickster at heart, and his "evil plans" often turn out to be nothing more than elaborate jokes. He is described as "a radical guy who likes to play games". He seems to have a strained relationship with his father and might sometimes have violent outbursts. Marshall seems to be a little emotional. He is also very independent.

Bio: Marshall is over a thousand years old. One of Marshall's memories shows him as a young boy playing near the burning ruins of a city. When Marshall was a teenager, his father ate his fries in the ruins of a diner. This incident would damage Marshall's relationship with his father. At a later point in his history, he moved into the Tree Fort with his boyfriend Ash. He would later dump him for selling his beloved teddy bear Hambo and for being an all-around jerk. It is unclear when Marshall became a vampire or how Marshall is able to age over time since typical depictions of vampires have them remain frozen at the age they are bitten and are only able to reverse the appearance of time to give the appearance of looking younger instead of progressing in age to become older in appearance. He is "kinda a shape shifter" though, so this could explain his growth. He was not bitten when he was 16 or 17. Marshall was probably a vampire before the apocalypse.
