Ding. Dong. Ding. Dong. The school bell resounded throughout the streets. Sherrie raced with her friends to the door, "Gene, hurry up!" Sherrie shouted loudly to a girl with blonde pigtails and glasses, at the rear of the small herd of school students. When the blonde finally caught up to the rest, they simultaneously burst into the building and nearly fell over when they noticed that the halls were empty.
"Are we seriously late, again!?" Torrie, a girl with short red hair and freckles all over, exclaimed. "And on the first day the new teacher is suppose to start!" She added, worry and dispair clearly spread across the other girls faces. Without even a thought they all bounded for the lockers, slamming them open and hurriedly grabbed their stuff and slamming them shut again.
Except Sherrie, her locker closed but in the rush she forgot to lock it. As the girls thundered down the hall to their classroom, Sherries locker hung open. "I hope the new teacher is nice!" Sherrie shouted the her friends, and they all nodded, praying that they'd be lucky.
When they came up to the classroom door, they all heaved an enormous sigh and walked in plastered with fake confidence. There the teacher stood half way through the attendance, staring at them. They all bowed apologetically and took their respective seats. Collapsing onto her desk, Sherrie clutched her chest trying to determine just how fast her heart was going, her ears were ringing so loudly she barely heard the teacher speaking let alone having the curtesy to actually listen to him.
