Standard would be fun Draft or Sealed would be good as well. I would like to use LackyCCG or Cockatrice as the application EDIT: I think Modern might be a good idea as well

I'd enjoy it, but right now could only play Legacy. I'm open on application, since I'll most likely have to download it anyway.

nukeman8000 Draft or Sealed would be good as well. The problem with Limited (draft/sealed) is decklists that I don't want to deal with. If I could reasonably do this, I might reconsider but on whole, its just better to ignore.

Well, if you draft on Tappedout.com it gives you the option to save a list of everyone's picks Edit: Sorry it's Tappedout.net My bad

Problem remains how do you reasonably determine if they're cheating or not. Its easy enough to 'improve' your deck slightly without being obvious about it in these 'open' applications. Short of figuring out how to have an invite only MTGO event, I will consider Limited to be an unreasonable hassle for the time being.

Ok, then i would have to say that Modern or Standard would be the best formats, as they allows people newer to the game to enjoy the tournament too.

For format, vintage might be kinda crazy, I'd honestly like to suggest standard. It's simple enough.
And for application, I've always been a fan of Cockatrice.

nukeman8000 Also, what would the prize support be? i'm assuming it's gaia gold and/or rare items I'm thinking like a 1k purse for a 8-man event. Something like 500g to 1st Place 300g to 2nd Place 100g to 3rd/4th If we become successful in running tournaments, I'll add tournaments with entry fees which makes for better prize support.

I'd be willing to add gold in for this tournament even if I don't play.

I would like to do it on Cockatrice and I think standard would be best. I assume everyone has a standard deck.
