Tyra Jaynis

"Don't ask me why I'm like this. It's how I was born, and I can't change anything but my attitude, which I kinda like. So outta my way before I punch your lights out, pretty boy!"

- Just call me :: Tyra or Ty.
I was born on :: June 4.
This many summers ago :: 16 years.
Obviously, I am a :: Female.
One in a Million :: Aphrodite and a mortal man
Not Everyone Can :: Fired Retired from a cashier position at Safeway.
Take a Picture :: Tyra normally has an odd color dyed in random patches on her hair. She used to be into the cosmetology type of thing in beauty school, but she dropped out because she couldn't afford to continue there. She cuts her own hair (normally a very choppy, messy style), and wears odd clothing often. Even in summer she wears a zip-up black hoodie under a heavy jean vest. She alternates what tee she wears under that, but it's normally black or has black stripes on it. She wears skinny jeans. Her eyes are a bright violet, which is a rare human eye color. She normally wears purple jewelry, and is currently in the fad of purple feather earrings, a studded belt, silver bangles over her sleeves, and a feather on a black string around her neck. Her favorite shoes are debatable between Vans and Converse high-tops. She has a single silver lip ring.

- Once Upon a Time :: Tyra ran with her little sister...who wasn't really her little sister. She was carrying the infant, cradling the girl in her arms. She had her backpack packed, as she had been about to run away from home. Her home wasn't her true home, and she wanted to find her real mother and father. The previous night, she had finally been told that she was adopted. Looking behind her, she saw that doglike creature again down the deserted road. She cursed, for she was in the rural area of New York, which meant no one would see that beast, but no one really seemed to see more than a poodle chasing her anyway! She finally slipped and slid a few feet down the road, her head hitting the pavement with a crack. She couldn't move, only listen to the snarling beast get closer and closer as she faded to black...
Tyra was born to a god and a mortal, resulting in a demigod. She never knew her true parents, for she was adopted from her mother as a baby. For sixteen years, she didn't know that she was adopted, just going on as Tyra Jaynis. She was in a Christian school, and she was often thought a liar for seeing beasts that weren't "really" there. She saw them day after day, and grew silent about it, for they didn't seem to do anything to anyone. She finally noticed them following her, and was told a week later that she was adopted. That her parents weren't really her parents. She packed her things that very night, but heard a loud crash as the door broke down, and a beast entered the house. It killed her parents, and she saved her newborn sister of a month, running away from home with her things.
However, all was not meant to be. As she ran from the beasts, she found herself in a rural area of New York, next to Half-Blood Hill. She tripped and knocked herself out. When she awoke, she discovered that the campers hadn't been able to save her sister, but she was still alive, and still learning. She has spent the past month adjusting to life at Camp Half-Blood, and in her cabin to her patron goddess, Aphrodite.
You Won't Like Me when I'm Angry :: Tyra has a very short temper, and very few things that she would fear. She has built up a reputation much like an Ares camper would as a rough-and-tumble girl ready to take on the world. She has gotten in trouble for fights before, and is always on the defensive side in a conversation. She dislikes being made fun of, so she creates a scary front so she cannot be made fun of.
Gimme More :: Hair dye, odd thingamajigs, music, fruit, candy, anime, video games, and asking questions.
Take it Away! :: Being questioned, being pranked, being accused, Spanish music, gum, and spicy food.

- Don't Mess With Me :: One day, there was a long box outside of the apartment door, and Tyra picked it up, taking it inside. She glanced at what it was, and who it was from. There was a New York address on the return address, and it was to her. She opened it, finding a short sword in the Japanese style, a kodachi. When she pulled it apart, she was amazed to find that it was two kodachi swords, as opposed to one. On one, a phoenix was emblazoned on the side, and on the other there was a dragon. Immediately, Tyra hid it in her room, lest her parents find it...There was a note she discovered before she threw away the packaging. "Always be wary, my child. Trouble will be coming to you soon." Checking the return address on the internet, she was upset to find that there was no true 382 Light Street...
I'm Pretty Good At :: Tyra is very good at analyzing a person's personality through their appearance. She can also create a haircut or makeup style off of any example provided (if handed one). She is very bad at visualizing from a description, and really just needs to see something. She has a photographic memory, and tends to memorize details around her like second nature.
