Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent The air was chilly as the moon shone on thepristine nd almost desolate woods below. The woods were large and vast and apart fro mthe odd few it was unhabitated. The forest lay by the edge of a small rural town, one with a large history that everyone, except for one, had seemed to forgotten about. One who remembered was one who wasnt exactly known for he lived in the centre of the forest in a man made wood cabin, beside the lake. He lived alone and alone was where he syaed. Why? because he didnt trust himself to be around normal people. He was afraid he would make the same mistakes that his forebarers did, I guess Im not making sense. He was and is one of the original vampires.
Roux sat up in his bed, or more so a coffin which was located in the basement of his home. He yawned and stretched as if he had been asleep but the truth was far worse then that. he blinked hs sivler eyes and looked to the side at an old clock which hung on the wall. It was 9 PM, luckily for him night time. Night time was the only safe time for him t obe awake, in the day he would be little more then a corpse or a pile of ash. Not too charming but it was the truth. He sighed and climbed out of the bed/coffin. He walked across the floor to where he had dropped his shirt and pulled it on over his jeans. He ran a hand through his rose pink hair and sighed a little more before wlaking to the door and heading up the stairs to is cabin. He lived alone, also he rarely left, the longer he remained a secret the better it would be for everyone, including himself. He frowned, when was the last time he had even been with another person or glimpsed another vampire? He couldnt even remember thats how bad everything had gotten. He wasnt immortal like the others but it would be a lie to say that he hadnt drank Nephlim blood to give him a longer life span because he had... Sometimes the truth hurt. He cringed a little and walked to the living room quietly. He flopped down onto the couch and pulled out a book called "Bloody Bones". Surely enough it was a vampire novel, figures.
Of late though he had found himself growing more and more lonely. It was hard for him even to admit this feeling of isolation to himself let alone to anyone else. He missed company, he wanted someone to be there with him. Someone for him to hold and love, even if his more...Vampire side took over a little too often and decided to have some...fun. Maybe that was what led him to the desicion of buying someone to live with him. He disliked the term buying...he preffered for it to be more of a mutual agreement. The neko, his new pet or whatever you wanted to call it, would be arriving tonight. Gotta love night shifts...Some people understood that vampires couldnt go out in the day light and so made allowances. He sighed and turned the page of his book softly, sitting back and waiting patiently. Like only a vampire could.✲So raise your glass my son

The small, tiny neko was curled up in a tiny cramped cage, as always. Since he was first born he had been shoved into tiny cages and forced to do stuff that he didn't want to do. But that, he guessed, was just the ordinary life for a slave. Someone to do someone elses dirty work when they didn't want to. The neko curled his tail around his legs, looking out of the cage bars. The cage had been placed in a van, on it's way around the country, delivering the tiny creatures to those who had bought them. The neko didn't mind being someone's pet, just as long as they were nice and treated him sweetly. Deklan shivered, the thought of having an abusive owner scaring him. He had seen many neko's who had once had owner's, most of them came back beaten and bloody. The van came to a slow stop and the large door's open, letting Deklan see the large, beautiful moon for the first time. He scuttled to the back of the cage when the man took the cage into his arms. The neko shivered, just curling up into a tiny ball from the cold. The man placed Deklan's cage onto the ground and pressed the button for the doorbell. Now to wait.

Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent Roux froze as he sensed another before he heard the grumbling low sound of an engine and the tires sinking into the gravel which paved its way throguh the trees, the makeshift road way was Roux's implacation. Before there had been nothing but he decided that when he ordered stuff be it blood or in this case a companion it would be best ot have some sort of surface for the vehincle and something for the person to follow as not to get lost deep in the forest. He stared at the door, hearing them lomng before he saw the flash of the vans lights at the the edge of his yard. The pink hiared male stretched a little before with precise and strangely soft actions turned down the corner of page 217. Luckily it had been the start of a new chapter, he would have been quite annoyed to be interupted in the middle of a chapter... Not on at all.
Placing the red and black, soft covered book down beside him on the small black mahongany end table he stood just as he heard the engine stall and then be shut off. His silver eyes flckered out to see the man dressed in odd clothes and a cap walk to the boot of the van. In this given time Ru decided he needed to look more...presentable. He ran his tongue across his lips before taking a steady yet deep breath and shut his eyes.
Once his eyes were closed he used his more vampuric side to his his fangs, make his eyes and ice blue shade as opposed to cat like pupils and silver that seemed to shimer in the light. His skin was also a little less pale, a little more alive looking infact. He didnt want to terrify someone in first meeting them...unless that was his aim of course which right now it wasnt. He grinned to himself and trailed his long fingers through his hair before wlaking in almost lazt steps to the door as the bell rang. He opened the door in and looked at the cage at the mans feet, seeing the glint of somethings eyes. He could sense the neko's fear...how charming. He looked up from the cage and met the mans gaze before offering a lobsided smile and pulling out a pen. He didnt even ask the man what he wanted, Ru was around far too long to even care to ask. He knew the man had also been informed that he was a vampire. An old one infact.
"Where do I sign?" He asked, voice so soft that it caressed the skin. It was falsely soft and almost a purr, like most Vampires voices were, it was part of the charm and hunting technique in all honesty.✲So raise your glass my son

Deklan whimpered, still feeling really cold. Since there was a vampire near by, that didn't really help. The older man handed a clipboard and form to the other with a soft sigh, along with a pen. "Name at the bottom, next to that your initials." He whispered boredly. The neko sniffled, gazing up at the vampire and the human. Oh. The vampire was really pretty, which made the Neko sit up slowly. The male picked up the neko's cage and waited for the vampire to sign the form before he handed it to him.

Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent Roux Accepted the clip board and only hald listened to the man before he signed his name, a fake name of course, before handing it back to him. For many reasons Roux continously changed his name. It would look odd if there was his signature on everything for more then 300 years...See? It was smart once you think about it. He smiled at the man before reaching for the cage and taking it off him, hand brushing the sales mans for a moment before he handed him the clipboard.
"I will be in touch if there are any problems." He told the man before stepping back inside the house and closing the door. He sighed and was silent as he wlaked back to where he had before sat on the couch. He placed the cage down on the floor, where there was an open space. He crouched down and looked inside at the neko before unlocking the latch and pulling open the door.
"Yikes, how long have you been stuck in there.." he murmered in distaste as he stood. He dislike cruelty...unless it was really necesary "Come. Out you get" he said and ran a hand through his head before he turned and sat back down on the couch and watched the cage, waiting for the neko to come out, he wasnt going to presure him to come out, unless he got bored of waiting of course "My name is Roux. You may call me Ru or Master.." he said idly, crossing his legs as he sat.✲So raise your glass my son

Deklan sniffled, looking out at the vampire. Very slowly, the neko crawled out of the cage, gently sniffing his surroundings. The neko crawled forward's slowly, sniffing the ground as he went. When he reached the Vampire's feet, he gave a few soft sniffles before gazing up at the vampire with sweet, scared eyes. "R-Ru..." He mewed out. The neko jumped up onto the sofa and closed his eyes, laying down gently with his tiny head on the other's lap. "R-Ru... nice...?"

Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent Roux watched the cage in silence until the neko came out, he could sense that the creature was scared and nervous. He watched, not moving. He nodded when his name was said by the neko who then approached and hopped up onto the sofa. He shook his head a little at him when he lay down and had his head on his lap, Ru was so unused to contact that it was a rather odd sensation and with him so close..he could see his pulse in his neck. Ru looked away for a moment to regain imself before looking down at the seeming asleep neko.
"Of course Ru is nice" he said and lifted a hand to gentely stroke the boys hair "But there are rules you need to follow while you live with me".✲So raise your glass my son

Deklan purred, happy the other said that he was nice. He closed his eyes when the other's pet his hand through his soft hair, licking his lips with his tiny tongue. "Mmns...." He cooed. When the other said there were rules, the neko sat up slowly. "H-huh? Rules?"

Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent Roux looked at him in mild amusemt at how he seemed so happy about what he had said, it was lucky for him that RU was being genuine as he was far to naive for his own good.
"Of course there are rules" he replied softly and watched him as he sat up, blinking his ice blue eyes slowly "I am a Master Vampire due to my age so that means there are rules that we all must follow, some of these are for your own good" he stated and reached out, stroking the boys cheek softly "I sleep during the day so you will have to train yourself to be nocturnal. I need blood, I have a supply but if it runs out Ill have to use you until I get a new supply," he said simply "Also I would prefer you did not leave the house alone as other Vampires watch this house just waiting for something they can steal, a neko would be perfect for that reason" he grinned then and smiled "And if you like you may sleep with me downstairs during the day while you get used to this place" he winked playfully before regaining his more docile temperment.
Ru had two sides, like a coin, he had a serious, more docile temperment when he had his vampire side surpressed but when he was playful, seductive and everything that follws that he is rather...forceful. Vampires have split personalitys so it would seem.✲So raise your glass my son

Deklan listened well to the vampire, making sure to nod once at all the rules. One rule scared him to bits, though. He squeaked, looking absolutely fearful. He was scared of pain. "T-take my blood?" He whimpered, covering his neck with his hand's. The thought absolutely terrified the poor neko, causing him to curl into a ball again. "B-but it will h-hurt... I don't like p-pain..." He sniffled.

Nobody really cares, but it's not for me...✲ Roux Sel Marent Roux sighed as he watched him, saw the look of terror on his face as he curled up. He shook his head in dismay and caught him, pulling him onto his lap and cradling him like he were a small child...which he sort of was. He shushed him.
"Being bitten only hurts if you want it to. I am unlike other Vampires, like I said I have the Master status meaning if you were to look into my eyes, I could make it so that you would feel no pain" he said as if it were common knowledge, dismissive nearly. He caught the boys chin and made it so that he would have to look into his eyes, he lowered the glamour a little so that his eyes looked liquid, the light rolling in them and shimmering back in silver shades. He then dropped the parlour tricks "You have nothing to fear..".✲So raise your glass my son

Deklan gave a soft sniffle, looking up slowly. When he gazed up into the vampire's eyes, he tilted his head to the side. They were beautiful... Deklan sniffed and gave a small nod, nuzzling into the vampire's chest. Deklan purred, curling his long, fluffy tail around the other's arm. "I t-trust you..." He whispered.

He chuckled and then glanced toward the fire, still olding the boy, he was warm against his always cold body, he could hear his heartbeating and feel it...It was reassuring.
"Good" he said softly and trailed his fingers through his hair once more "Tell me...What is your name?" he asked softly and looked down at him realizing he hadnt even asked. He watched the boy softly, finding his purrs and general nature way too cute to ignore..✲So raise your glass my son
