The land has been overridden with men. Dragons have been slain and left all but extinct. Though many of the dragon nests were never found, men are confident they have killed them off.
Over the years, men have ravaged the land stealing its resources and space. They fill the land with poverty and war. Peace is a nearly non-existent ability.
Dwarves hold the mountains and Elves hold the forests and barren lands. The dwarves never move from the mountains and the elves protect their vast forests and wastelands. This leaves men nearly all of the remaining land to do with as they will.
Year 400, The Century of Dragons, Men begin to spread stories of untouched dragon nests. More of nests filled with old dragon bones, killed by men ages ago. Even rumors spread that Dragons are going to return soon.
With these rumors spreading, Dwarves are casting them aside as if nothing but their stone mattered. Men are forging armor and weapons from old dragon's bones. Elves are chortling at the men, their mortal brethren. They believe dragons are pure creatures, should be left alive and in their high place on the food chain.
Any ideas?

Well one idea could be plaid in the perspective of a young dragon or two young dragons and The elves or whomever they meet along the way try to help and or kill them, The elves would be more inclined to help in this case. Just a thought, and the other idea could be in the perspective of a small human colony trying to prepare for the dragons return, and some of the characters are rather indifferent from this. Either decide to stand and fight or leave to find a better dwelling Or something quest worthy.
