Want to witness something really cool?

For everyone world wide you will get a chance in a life time to witness a Triangular Celestial Alignment happening tonight only!

Look for the crescent moon once you find it you will see the triangular alignment of Jupiter and Mars with it as well. Two planets and the moon will be sitting in a 45 degree right triangle angle.

It was released on the news tonight. Saying that this alignment probably won't happen for another 100 years. So take a moment to look up at the sky and see the awesome stars and planets high above. 3nodding heart

My window seems to be too foggy to look out of, and I don't feel like going outside at 5:50 am. XD

Lemme know if you see it. c:

It's beautiful! I wish I could take a picture :/ sadly I can't it would be an optical illusion with my phone. Tiny dots. =P I'm such a geek! xd

LOL the news dude thought it was Mars when in fact it's Venus! sweatdrop

The moon, Venus, and Jupiter — the three brightest objects in the night sky — will be putting on a dazzling celestial show shortly after sunset both Feb. 25 and 26, coming together in a tight triangle. With any luck, you might also spot tiny Mercury down near the horizon just as the sun goes down.

Then! On top of that!

In March Venus and Jupiter will continue converging until, on Mar. 13, they will be only three degrees (or about two fingers) apart.

If all this isn’t enough, turn around and face eastward during this time to spot the bright red dot of Mars rising shortly after sunset. Mars will grow slightly larger in the sky as it gets nearer to Earth, coming closest around Mar. 5.

Saturn, the final planet visible to the naked eye, will appear in the east shortly before midnight during this period, shining highest in the sky in the hours leading up to dawn.

Wow you sure know a lot. By any chance you study Astormomy?! I studied it , but failed (epically sweatdrop )

Maybe someone will video record the sky every night, capturing it biggrin if someone does, I'll find it and post it somewhere here so everyone can see.

I've always been fascinated by the stars since a kid :3 My Dad would always take me out to the country and bring along his small telescope and we'd look at the star alignment in the skies.

Naw, it's more of a hobby whee I like going outside at night sometimes just to stare up at the millions of stars high above. There's been a lot of meteor showers here lately. So I try to catch those whenever possible. Its like watching diamonds and blue flames shower the skies.

Here's some digital pictures someone took :: Convergence of Jupiter Venus and The Moon

Taken over Somogy, Hungary

And here's some more information :: See the Brightest Objects of the Night Sky
