Biography
Gwendolyn was born to Hedriala and Fenris Bellamour, who both hailed from Megalo-Mesembria. Her childhood was average for any individual growing up in Mundus Magicus. Gifted with a talent for both magic and sword play, Gwendolyn was a handful, because not only was she gifted – she was also cursed, as she later claimed. Despite her capabilities, the worst things seem to happen to her at the worst times. Her sword slipping from her hands, a misspoken word causing a spell to blow up in her face, and the worst possible happenings going on during what should have been routine patrols.
Though she was initially scouted for a band of mercenaries, she decided instead to fulfill her mothers, and her own, dreams. Gwen was enrolled in the Academic City-State of Ariadne. Despite her, er, difficulties, she managed to achieve the rough equivalent of apprentice in the Knights Order. Unfortunately, these difficulties of hers made every knight she was apprenticed to extremely eager to hoist the poor girl off on someone else.
She developed some closeness with her latest teacher, one of many in a long line, a woman by the name of Arturiana. Arturiana was one of the few individuals to not actively give up on the girl, and encouraged that she be positioned at Mahora under the pretense of observing the school for instances of individuals breaking the laws surrounding the secrecy of magic. Eager to prove herself to her teacher and the rest of the Knights, Gwendolyn accepted the order without a second thought, not realizing that it was meant to give her a chance to control herself and overcome her clumsiness and grow into her true capabilities.
Personality
While Gwen isn’t an airhead, she is a bit scatter brained at times, her concentration easily moving from one topic to the next, often rapidly. Friendly, cheery, and very rarely overly serious, Gwen is a girl that is pretty easy to get along with. Her seriousness becomes more apparent only when she is fighting, and even then, her clumsy nature seems to shine through, except when she activates her pactio card, the only thing that seems to be able to help her overcome her shortcomings.
Other
Gwen is a terrible klutz at times, despite her best efforts not to be. She works to overcome what seems to be a natural inclination towards clumsiness and a distinct lack of self-confidence when it comes to her own abilities. This is something Arturiana was hoping to suppress in the girl through her training. Gwendolyn spends most of her time reading, or practicing sword play, with the latter activity being a little more dangerous than usual due to her accident-prone nature. Despite that, she has a good hand, when she can keep it under control, and knows a fair bit about swordplay and fighting techniques. Her magic is, in comparison, sub-par, and she typically uses what few spells she knows strictly to bolster her own capabilities, using spells in conjunction with her combat techniques.
Occupation
Gwendolyn is a student at the Academic City-State of Ariadne, a temporary student at Mahora Academy, and works as a waitress at the Mahora House Café to pay for her rent there.
Appearance
Gwendolyn stands at a very petite 5’1”. Her eyes tend to vary in color, depending on who you ask. Typically though, her eyes appear to be a deep sea color, but of course it varies depending on what clothing she’s wearing, and the light one views her eyes in. She has blonde hair that when lose goes past her shoulders, but she usually wears it either pinned up in a bow at the back, or twisted into a very elaborately braided bun. Physically, her build is fairly average, not too muscular, but her physical strength is deceptive as she wields a sword almost as long as she is. She is quick, but no more so than the average magically enhanced human being.
