Since tonight is the first session I'll be handing out XP, I thought I would clarify the rules a little where that is concerned. The "most important paragraph" is at the bottom.

Every time we get to the end of an adventure (which is defined in my head by the ending of a certain string of events; in this case, the destruction of the robot marks the end of the adventure) I will award XP. XP will usually be about equal to the number of sessions the adventure took, plus an extra 1-2 depending on how well everyone played. Anyone who missed some sessions will likely get that much fewer XP than everyone else.

This XP is to be added to the number in the "XP Awards" cell on your character sheet, which is located in the "Start" tab. This number should, at the moment, be 0, but it will naturally climb as you play more. For every 15 XP you gain, your Effective PL will automatically rise. Never change your Starting PL; the sheet will handle it.

You have two options as far as what to do with your newly earned points. You may spend them right away or save them for later. Obviously, if you want to add more ranks to the powers you already have at max, you will want to save the points so you can use them when your PL goes up to add another rank.

You may not do anything that would add points to your pool (such as getting rid of feats, lowering attributes, lowering power ranks in a power, add weaknesses, etc.) without my permission. In addition, you cannot add any new Super-feats or completely new Super-powers without my permission. All of the above would usually need a plot-related reason to occur. Among the things you can do without my permission are:

Increase your ability acores (up to the 20 cap)
Increase base attack/defense (up to the level cap)
Add points to any skills, whether you have them or not.
Take any non-super feats you are able to.
Add ranks to any powers that aren't yet maxed out.

Anything else you wish to do in advancing your character, just ask. I'll probably say yes, but I'll also probably want to give a plot-related reason and work that in.

Most important paragraph (that's why it's bigger than the others):
Whatever you decide to do with your points, you are requried to make that decision and email me an updated character sheet sometime between the end of the session I give you XP and the start of the next session. Otherwise, they will be assumed to have simply been banked and you won't be able to spend them until the next time I give them out.

you have to wait for the next time xp is givin out, not til the end of a session? like if I didnt do anything before next tuesday I might have to wait like three or four weeks? (just want to clear stuff up)

Also can you add extras that are listed to already existing powers? like the listed extras or power stunts without your permission? (say wall run or deflection?)

If you can clear up either or both it will be helpful biggrin

Thanks!

Correct on both counts. If you don't spend the points in the week between sessions, you may have to wait 3-4 weeks (possibly shorter, depending on how long the next adventure is, but still) before spending your next points. I think this is fair enough, since you're given a whole week to find time to spend them.

And yes, you can add listed extras to powers you already have without my permission. This can easily be explained as training in the power, and so does not need a plot-point to bring it about.
