Original concept for me to work off of Their World...
The year was 5064 and most life was lost. Humans left the earth in shambles while the animals and plants have been met with near extinction save for the few which were brought to museums for preservation serving as a reminder of the world as it was. Electrodes replaced living creatures as the earth's main residents populating cities of their making.
Small holes scattered within the ozone layer rendered much of earth's terrain infertile. The loss of many trees caused rivers to run brown with silt. Cities created by the electrodes begun to appear in Japan, Europe and North America with more communities established in other regions thought to have strong potential only to have been met with failure. Every city and town had power plants which required an energy source. Most buildings were equipped with solar panels, but did not have the capability to promote sustainability that would only come with the power plants.
What is a bio-robot?
A bio robot is a special type of robot that can actually grow and mature much like the human body. Before man whipped it's self out they created the electrodes. They are a unique type of being that has a thin durable metal like skin that can stretch and tighten like our own. They have complex circuit boards with wires that go all threw their form much like nerves. Cooling lines that bring coolant and also lubricant all threw out like the blood veins in us. All this runs around a very hard, durable and strong metal that acts as a frame for everything to be stretched over. The last thing they have that sets them apart is a unique type of programming that allows them to choose. It works on a probability program that as they go threw life and experiences will teach them what certain things do or lead to allowing them to make their own choices when it comes to what and how they do things.
Though being a robot does have its advantages for them to want anything they just imply attach it like we would a spoiler to a car and then be removed and replaced with what ever like we do to our own electronics.

The Work in Progress Earth. A beautiful, wonderful place. Blue sky. Lush, green forests. Filled with magnificent creatures. The perfect place to live. Or so it used to be.
History has taught us that greed, power, and pride can ruin a person and country. People have warned that if we continued ours ways the world would end. Ancient cultures had fortold the apocolypse. It took awhile, but Earth slowly got there.
It started with the advancement of warfare, the findings of new chemicals to make bombs. Actually, that was all it took. Disagreement between two countries started yet another way, pulling other countries in with it. Countries with the new bombs.
Everything started to die. Plants, animals, humans...Earth started to become a dead planet. Those who did not die because of the chemicals died because of poisoned water, little food, other illnesses.
One of the scientists that had been recruited to make the bombs saw what his creation was doing. Horrified, he set about making a way to make things right. He spent night and day in the same lab that housed the birth of the bomb. Other scientists who felt the same as he joined him.
Their new creation? The bio-robot, which later became known as Electrodes.

The electrodes live in a pretty basic society on the surface of the once lush planet earth. Now that the world has almost died with the rivers running brown with silt, the wind that can almost turn your new paint job to rust in a matter of seconds and the almost black crmubly ground. Or so this is how it looked when the Electrodes first rolled up on the scene.
The world was nearly dead and looked as though it had just given up. With what the Electrodes saw around them and what they found in books from the past people they began to try and create a new world.
That was exactly what they did, after a long and hard few decades the electrodes had finally established they're first big city. The Grounds were covered in stone to make roads and path ways as these metal buildings began to arise from all angles. Not the giant rectangle and square structures we know today, but something different that was uniquly them. These new buildings had the appareance of organic material, but with a closer investigation you could see the sheet metal and bolts used to keep it all together.
The first city named (instert name here) for the people who had helped build it and bring it to frutation. This city was a crowning achievement for the little robos. There were your various resitential areas, your business and shopping areas and last but not least the first stable Nursing Impound factory. The fact they now had everything to sustain them and also create new life was the beginning of a new era for the earth.
Things went well for these little critters. Though as all creatures that have roamed the planet call home the robos too caught the travel bug. Before long there were families packing up they're everything and loading it on the hover cart to try and make a new settlement in another part of the (inster name here). One by one people continued to leave to try and make it on their own. Some just moved to other less crowded cities and towns. This is how the various districts and out posts were created.

Is the main city where all life has stemed from. Here is where the life giving Nursing Impound could be reached and here is where you can find the most robos in one place. The city is a little crowded, but no one seems to be mind much. Those that do just end up moving to another area. Here you can find museems where trees and other plant and animal life are kept. They are housed in these bubbles to keep them sustained. It is only here were you can view such a thing.
The shopping center is more like a shopping acre now, it has shops of every kind, thought and idea. Anything and everything you were looking for or wondered if it exsited can be found here. If you can sell it, trade it or dismantle it it's here. There is the nice north end shopping center where you will find only the most posh of things. Deep in the south end you might want to keeo your lil' robos on a leash and your eyes peeled. The people down here would take your left arm before you could even notice the weight. The est end is full of trading and out post shops. These venders only sell the things you can not find in this city, but come from beyond the gate. The simple west end is where you go for all your nesscities and such. It has your basic shops for food, clothing, appliances and ect.
The working quarter of the city almost appears as though a cloud hang heavy over it's smoke stacks. It could just be the smoke, but some robos believe it is more than just that. These factories make the prefab housing they wll live in along with all the things found in the west end shopping center. You can hear the hover bus pull up every morning to grab it's workers as they march on in; than as if it felt as though they just left they back and on they're way home back to see they're families and such.
