---------- The Estates :: - ↓

------The land that comprises the Mikain Estates is actually fairly vast, and encompasses a large area in the north eastern corner of Mahora. A mixture of eastern and western architecture, the estate is split into subsections. The first section comprises the manor house, the gardens which the estate lead into, and the lake which separates the bulk of the estate area from the housing area. The second section contains the housing and onsen. The third section is dominated by forests, with a path leading from the estate to a traditional temple to the spirits of the mountainous region that curves around the back of the estate. The fourth section is actually in front of Mahora House, and houses a small Cafe, across from which is a bus station that runs regularly, for those who would prefer not to bike or walk into Mahora. Different in spades from the extravagant aura of the Teahouse, the Cafe is small, inviting, and homey, where individuals can enjoy eating in the open air of the day or evening, and the menu there comprises more traditional Japanese cuisine. The fifth section includes the cascades, the river, and the Abandoned Building. The building was actually part of the terrain when the housing was built, a surprising replication of the Forbidden Annex, or Legendary Annex of the Hinata Inn. This building is strictly off limits, as even Mikain herself hasn't ventured into this area of the housing, though the bridge connecting the House to the Annex was repaired.
---------- Mahora House :: - ↓
------Built as a labor of love, and in tribute to an onsen that was visited in the early 1900's in the Kanagawa Prefecture, the Mahora House, as she has dubbed it, is build to mirror the Hinata House, formerly the Hinata Inn, with a few distinct differences. The housing is somewhat typical of the usual Inn's one would find littering Japan, places of leisure and relaxation. But this particular building was designed to be larger than average, and can house as many as 30 individuals, each in their own single room, or up to 45 individuals, if rooms is shared. Each room can house no more than 2 people, and even that is pushing the limits of personal space. Couples of course, can share this space with no difficulties.
------Each room has typical furniture, a table with two chairs, a futon packed into a closet, and is split into two rooms, one for daily living, and one for sleeping. The sleeping room can accommodate western style beds, though they were not originally designed for that type of arrangement. The main rooms contain miniature refrigeration units, though the bulk of any cooking needs to or will be done downstairs in the kitchen, where meals are more of a community affair. Despite meals being served to the house as a group, every individual is welcome to eat as they will, and come and go as they will. The main rules of the house are the same as you would expect elsewhere:
------• Violence should be kept to an absolute minimum, to ensure the safety and well being of all tenants.
------• Arguments among tenants should be resolved as peacefully as possible, among the tenants themselves. If things become drastic, the landlord may intervene.
------• Rent is due promptly at the first of each month, and is a very affordable 3900 yen per month.
------• Each individual is responsible for the cleaning and care of their own rooms, though laundry may be done either by the tenants or by the caretaker's hired help.
------Individuals with supernatural abilities will find them suppressed inside the manor house proper. This includes the Caretaker. Natural abilities such as speed and strength will not be affected, nor will the animalistic features of individuals with that background. This is enabled by wards that are placed around the house to prevent it's wanton destruction. You break it, you buy it.
