Hey there everyone! I decided to list books that I own or have read and possibly try to sort them into furry, feral, and other categories for anyone looking for some good reads. :3
Feel free to ask about any of them or even suggest new ones!
I'll also figure out some rating system for what I thought about them.
Most of my stuff is Sci-fi or Fantasy.
And I may throw in a manga section (And maybe a comic book one) too. Though I'm not really into that anymore.

So stay tuned! Theres going to be a LOT to put on here.

Furry-ish

Acorna The Unicorn Girl (Anne McCaffrey and Margaret Ball/Elizabeth Scarabough)

  1. Acorna
  2. Acorna's Quest
  3. Acorna's People
  4. Acorna's World
  5. Acorna's Search
  6. Acorna's Rebels
  7. Acorna's Triumph
    • First Warning (actually a second series, but still follows the Acorna books)

What it is: A story about space miners finding a little girl in a pod adrift in space. Only the little girl has.. a horn?...and hooves?
The first book or two focuses on Acorna the Unicorn Girl growing up amidst humans and questing to abolish child slave labor.
Then the series goes on about finding her own people, and trying to fit in after being raised by such 'barbarians' as the humans, and trying to save the planets full of the people she loves.

What I think: One of my favorite series... First Warning though... that was just kinda a mistake I think. I'm thinking of giving it another chance... but... ugh...

Sholan Alliance series (Lisanne Norman)

  1. Turning Point
  2. Fortune's Wheel
  3. Fire Margins
  4. Razor's Edge
  5. Dark Nadir
  6. Stronghold Rising
  7. Between Darkness and Light
  8. Shades of Gray

What it is: Pioneers to a new planet get cut off from earth and made into slaves by a species of reptilian aliens called Valtegans.
Carrie, a telepath, is tormented by the pain from the loss of first her mother in the trek to the planet, and then her twin sister who was tortured for information on the rebellion.
She suddenly meets an injured panther-like creature and takes him in.
Little does she know that the creature is part of an intelligent telepathic species call Sholans who have been fighting the Valtegans for centuries.
The story goes from fighting the Valtegans, to Carrie adjusting to life on an alien planet and being the start of a whole new species!

What I think: Another of my favorites. Though Carrie's constant paranoia and moodiness can start to weigh really heavy later on in the books.
But the look into the Sholan lifestyles makes it well worth it.... though the last two books are kinda "wtf is going on???"

The Chanur Saga (C.J. Cherryh)

  1. The Pride of Chanur
  2. Chanur's Venture
  3. The Kif Strike Back
  4. Chanur's Homecoming

What it is: A series that focuses on the intergalactic trade economy, inter-species interactions, and the chaos caused by the discovery of a new space-faring species, Humans.
This series is a bit more of a difficult read than your typical young-adult novel. But it's very unique since it's from the view of an anthropomorphic feline species who values family, crew, ...and beards? (lol)
There's a lot of spaceship battles and rescue missions.
There's a lot of focus on the bias between species, and the Chanur-clan suddenly breaking barriers between these species (not always by choice) much to the dismay of their own planet's leaders.
Tons of conspiracies going on.
There's very VERY little 'mushy stuff'. So if you're looking for something romantic, look elsewhere.

What I think: I honestly had a hard time reading this series the first time I got it. I think I gave up partway through the second one.
But time and maturity allowed me a second chance.. and I actually enjoyed it this last time. (...though I never finished Chanur's homecoming.)
