Ok being a Vampire in Oblivion was REALLY fun. But now in Skyrim, we have the option of becoming a Werewolf as well.
Thing is, since the Werewolf is coming back, people are gonna be all over it's sack like Jacob from New Moon... I am one of those people that is gonna become a werewolf like ASAP...
But dont get me wrong, the Vampire is cool also, but I just hate that when you're at full power, you get sun burn x8 or something. But you're guy gets strong a f**k.
But the bad thing about the Werewolf in Skyrim, is that you can only use it for 2.5 minutes and you have to kill and feed to add 30 seconds before the time runs out.... And instead of transforming at a certain time, you use it as a spell...
But luckily, I heard that there is a ring that you can get, that allow you to transform whenever you want......
I also heard that even when are a werewolf but you are in you're human form, you are still much stronger than any other human...
Is there anybody that would chose Vampire over the Werewolf?

Werewolves can't get the sleep bonus, also, I personally found that there was a lack of power with them. I found that sometimes it was useful but aside from a couple occations were I used it there were few benifits to being a werewolf. Keep in mind that the ring, Hircine's Ring , only grants unlimited transformations and if you tranform in front of someone you have a massive fine on your head.
As for the vamps, they are pretty similar as far as I am aware.

"Sleeping is the process of resting in a bed, sleeping bag/roll, or pile of hay to fully restore your health, magicka, and stamina. In addition, sleeping in a good bed gives a temporary bonus to magicka and health. If you sleep long enough in a bed belonging to someone else but have gained access to, you will receive the "Rested" bonus which gives you 5% increased skill-up speed for the next 8 hours, game time. If you sleep in a bed you own, such as in player owned houses or if you rent a room at an inn, you receive the "Well Rested" bonus, giving you 10% increased skill-up speed for 8 hours. If you have a spouse and you sleep in the same house as them, you will receive a "Lover's Comfort" bonus which gives 15% increased skill-up speed for 8 hours. The lover's comfort effect can be reproduced by The Lover Stone which confers this bonus for as long as the stone is the player's active symbol." From the Wiki, and one thing I forgot too, werewolves are immune to desease, I suspect this is to prevent the chance of catching the vamp one.

I can't say about Skyrim, but in OB they were unique, requiring a lot of changes to your play style. I find that a werewolf is a bit lacking as you dont even really notice that you are one, you can play as normal and ignore the feature. Its not like you randomly transform or a moon is full, so you dont even have to be careful about it. Its a bit boring in that aspect.

In Oblivion you could not walk about at the 4th stage either as a vampire either. All you have to do is feed on someone to change your stage and you can go about again.

I like that there are penalties for being a vampire or werewolf, it wouldn't make sense otherwise. But I think the penalty for werewolves are a bit more boring than for vampires. Vampires get nasty sunburns but werewolves don't stay in their form longer at night or stuff like that.
Still, I don't prefer any of them. I'm just yer olde boring Argonian.
