Darth Malice the Fallen Captain

Malice sat leaning back against the red trunk of a tree in the large central garden within the temple interior. His eyes were closed, his mind in a sort of haze, not exactly sleep but a trance-like state. He used the force to feel the minds of all the small furred, scaled, and winged creatures in the area, all of them curious about his continued presence. Digging into the ground beside him, Malice unearthed a small seed, the soft babbles of the gentle fountains sounding in his ears. Digging the seed a small depression directly before his crossed legs, he planted it, using the force to urge it's growth. Before his eyes, the most beautiful naturally blue rose grew from the small seed, the only rose that did not grow as a bush but a single flower. As it sprouted from the ground, and unfurled it's petals, Malice smiled. He would have figured his own aura would have blackened the petals of this rare rose, corrupting it...but Malice wondered if Janlu was having an adverse effect upon him. Were his attempts to truly make her his apprentice backfiring so drastically without him being aware of it? Malice smiled, a dark parting of his lips, his visage lending the normally calming expression of joy a darker aspect, turning it into a sneer. Such was possible he assumed, but the darkness in him would always be more prominent...he had come to terms with that long ago. Malice had done to many shameful, deceitful, evil deeds for his soul to truly return to the light...although at times it was possible for him to come close, as this moment with the rose proved.
A blur of motion caught his attention, and Malice shifted his head slightly to regard the spot to his left where he had seen it. Nothing. He dragged his attention higher as he saw a second blur, just like the first, directly above the highest peak of the fountain. Staring intently at the spot, he barely made out a flicker, as if light was bending around an object to hide it from view. 'Stealth-Field generator?' Malice wondered within his mind. He could not think of how something so small could carry the semi-bulky cloaking device though. Reaching out with the force, Malice felt...Nothing. This was not the absence of a presence no...but almost like a non-existence, a wound in the force. Malice shifted uncomfortably, his hand sinking slowly toward his hilt. Just as he gripped the saber in his fingers, a deep resonance issued forth that brought Malice to his knees. He heard many minds tearing through his thoughts his memories, reviewing them like the pages of a book. Struggling to regain his mental composure Malice fought back, simultaneously attempting to force these consciousnesses from his mind as well as driving his own questing probe into them. At once, as he breached the surface he understood...that tiny shimmer...if it were revealed would be prismatic in shape, adorned with runic symbols of a nearly forgotten language. It would house information, guidance, arts, knowledge, but most important of all it would contain Sith Secrets. Malice pushed back with all his might...

Thanatos, who was awaiting the schedule launch date to rescue a jedi on the planet Tythos, began his morning that day by touring the temple. The entity Parthenon who took possession of his garments was silent as well. Thanatos looking for a laboratory of some sort to create an office for himself for his creations and "operation procedures" was lost...
Walking outside to what appeared to be a garden, he said, " damn, where the hell is it?"
Totally oblivious to Malice

Unable to sleep the previous night with so much on her mind and an uneasy feeling that she couldn't pinpoint, Janlu had found refuge in the garden after wandering about. Taking the form of a small furry creature, she took to the branches of a tree for shelter. She had become quite skilled in disguising her force signature to match her form, she had forgotten how long it was when she had no other choice. There she remained, continuing to contemplate the issues running through her mind, but she soon lost herself in the tranquility of the area. The sound of the fountains having a calming effect as the little creature soon drifted off to a light slumber, one easily disturbed by the slightest change in the soothing environment. Still, something kept her feeling uneasy and yet, she was unwilling to dig deeper as to the cause. It was unclear how much time had passed before she noticed someone enter. It felt like forever and yet, simultaneously, felt like time had not passed at all. Opening her tiny eyes, finally, she looked around to see where he was. She could feel life springing from the ground, but didn't look so far. The little creature felt too comfortable in her perch that she didn't much want to move, but there was a change in the overall ambiance. This chaos caused Janlu to stir. It wasn't quite so threatening to her, but it wasn't all too pleasant either. The furry little critter made her way down the tree to invastigate, finding Malice nearby. In her curiosity she simply stood among the blades of grass, which stood but a little taller than she, and observed him. Not a moment later, she sense Thanatos entering, the uneasy feeling growing stronger as he did, but the small creature did not move, watching to see where he would go, before allowing her curiosity to get the best of her.

Sighing in frustration, Thanatos got his bearings. Their has got to be a laboratory of some sort of this rock! I can not just do my work for EVERYONE to see. He knew some of the things that he researched bordered on the realm of spirits. Keeping that quiet from the jedi of this place would be no small task, let alone doing it in broad daylight. The garden in which he stood on was well tended to. Flowers, trees, and some animals to make the picture perfect. Seeing the animals though... made his stomach gurgle. It was probably nearing lunch time. He looked at some of the animals to see if they would provide some sustenance. It was at this time he noticed Malice sitting under the tree looking at some contraption. There was no effect on his sight, but he knew it for what it was... A holocron! Malice had found perhaps an untold treasure. Curiously enough however creatures seemed to have drawn themselves to his presence. One in particular that he could not understand what it was, but it was looking at him. Strangely enough its aura looked like someone he knew. Seeing different auras were like hearing different peoples voices. This one he strove to remember... Wait! Janlu? He muttered, "What the hell?"
He shook the spell, it was Janlu! It would seem she was a shape-shifting type of race. But to such a degree as to shrink one-self...marvelous. Thanatos' intellectual side peaked. Maybe some time in the future she would allow him to "study" her physiology. He would make it painless...possibly. You never know with these shape-shifters. He kept a tab on her and her position.
He regarded the Mandolorian, and the holocron. Thanatos knew the knowledge necessary to make one himself. However it would be pointless at this time. He understanding of Alchemy and Sith Sorcery were although at Master levels. He was still on the brink understanding the boundary between Master and something beyond. Only experiments and training would allow him to grow further. The witches only knew so much. There power lay in creating slaves. He wanted more knowledge. Knowledge it seemed was hard to come by. He did not say anything, the Mandolorian would probably initiate conversation. He gave Janlu a knowing stare to make sure that she was not fooling him with her disguise. Auras never lied. In some ways they were better than DNA.
He stood there and made his presence known. That was enough.

Janlu's gaze was fixed on Thanatos. What was he looking for? Her ears twitched at his surprised remark as she continued to observe him. Why was he looking so intently in her direction? She turned briefly to see if there was anything of interest behind her, forgetting the small shape she had taken. Turning back to face him, she tilted her head curiously, not understanding why he was eying her so strangely. Talking a few steps toward him momentarily she stretched out, extending her little nose to see what he would do before jolting back towards the tree. Something caught her attention, however, she had noticed the flower. This must have been the life she felt springing from the ground. Brushing past Malice's knee, she dashed over to investigate it. Did he do this? It was an odd place for a flower to grow and the position Malice was sitting was surely a strange place to sit if it were otherwise. Standing on her hind legs, she stretched up to examine the petals more closely, trying to catch a whiff of its aroma without touching it, one ear tilted in Thanatos's direction should he move or say anything.

Naku walked along the court yard, near the fountain. It was more of a symbol of what the Jedi Order held, something he brought into this room, or at least an attempt for it flowed slightly differently then what the Thousand Fountains at the Jedi Order. It was a way to bring a sense of peace to this otherwise forgotten planet. A peace of mind to him. Naku stood still, watching the fountains as the water flowed down almost as if they were dancing from one platform to another till it hit the water once again. It was a beautiful sight, if not calming. The force was strong, as it should be, with the amount of force users in this place.
It was relaxing for him. To know that there would be a place where he could relax for a change. He was thankful for this place, for every now and then, he too would miss seeing the Room of a Thousand Fountains were it not for his idea to recreate one. So many times would he come to the room back in the Jedi Temple in order to Meditate, collect his bearing, or just watch the place, away from all the other masters of the time. He was a dedicated student of the force, practicing his saber play with Ryke at the time was his way to improve his swordmanship, while Ryke would learn of the force from him. It wouldn't be wrong to say that they learned for from each other then they did any master that taught them. Which is why there connection was so strong to each other. Few could understand how this came to happen, and even now, Naku was unsure of how it came to happen.
Betraying the Jedi Order was one thing Naku couldn't forgive himself, although he did do it for his brother, he betrayed everything he stood for at the time. Even now, he still feels he's betrayed most that he stood for. However, he had learned much since those days, and even he will admit that most of the Jedi Teachings were flawed, because they feared the dark side, instead of finding a way to understand it, as he had. He knew that his actions in Republic Space would be limited, knowing full well by now that the Grand Master of the Jedi Order, Master Yoda, knows of his fate, and would most likely be hunting for information on him soon. He hoped that when the time comes, he would not have to kill any Jedi.
Naku looked back at the fountain, calming his thoughts and clearing his mind. Now was not the time to think of things.
