Hi All, Thought I'd add to the mess my current data base of EDH decks and the lists for builds I'm working on. I always appreciate advice on optimizing and/or instilling recursive and redundant loops to achieve what I am doing. My philosophy is generally that budget is irrelevant to optimal card choices although sourcing can be a b***h... Hence why I am lacking a moat right now. Anyway as I mentioned in the EDH philosophy thread, I predominantly play 5 colour control with optimal choices and a low creature density. I'll specify if a deck is not. Cheers. Philosophy:

Combo-Geddon
Philosophy:
Board control through repeated wrathing and armageddon effects. Defeating the symmetry by going for a non-creature win and crucible to replay lands. then utilizing a combo finisher or winning by pure weight of board presence.

Infinite Rockets Stasis
Philosophy: The principal here is breaking some otherwise terrible cards. Specifically lotus vale and scorched ruins. I'm aiming to assemble a crazily large multi-card combo to go infinite and kill the board with rocket launcher and it's cousins. The backup to this are the twin stasis combos, designed to stall long enough for me to reach kill condition.

Okay, this one is a new one. Only just got the list figured out... I hope. Sourcing the last few pieces of mayhem that I need, but anyway I am really curious as to your thoughts on this.
Draw-Death Combo
Philosophy: As usual I've built this in a 5CC shell. I've got the tutor package and the fortress of solitude in place. All I am aiming to do is kill my opponents by making them draw insane amounts of cards. This is essentially a draw seven powered puzzlebox-dreams combo deck.

No Apocalypse in any of these? Apocalypse is extremely good against people who play something like Darksteel Forge+Mycosynth Lattice, due to the removal from the game instead of destroying. Though I do admit it's 100% a "Last resort I'm going to lose next turn" card.

Indeed, however I would need to blink my entire board to make it worthwhile. Bust the symmetry.

Dark-oneechan Indeed, however I would need to blink my entire board to make it worthwhile. Bust the symmetry. It was just a concern. One of the meanest decks I've seen was green-artifact ramp that specifically just tried to get those two out. Once they were, game was usually called (Unless a Return to Dust was quickly played) I can play an EDH game in the battlefields, if you want. It's a deck I haven't been able to test against a player, and I'm itching to try it out. Colorless Eldrazi/Artifact deck.

Also, for your "Draw to kill" deck, you could probably use Malignant Growth fairly well.

Fatestitcher Also, for your "Draw to kill" deck, you could probably use Malignant Growth fairly well. Interesting thought, I'd need to at least let one upkeep counter land then proliferate pretty hard to make it worthwhile. Since one of the intermediate goals of the deck is to resolve eon hub, to remove the upkeep step from the game. Makes for a static peacekeeper and glacial chasm to be nice and safe in my fortress of solitude. While it looks like on the surface a cute all-in-one draw-dreams system. In a 40 life game I think it is going to be too slow, require the addition of a proliferate engine and bad synergy with eon hub defense.

Well it's to synergize with things like Underworld Dreams and Spiteful Visions. Those extra draws WILL punch them in the face. Also, things like Megrim and Liliana's Caress MAY be viable here due to them (likely) having to discard often. Another option would be Jin-Gitaxias, since it lowers the opponents hand size to 0. That way, they draw massive amounts each turn, have to discard them all, and get 14+ damage per turn (If Megrim is out, at least) Also, Sustaining Spirit and Tornado may be welcome additions, with the powers of Eon Hub. Just BTW. EDIT: Read errata for Tornado. Glacial Chasm WILL stop it's damage to you. So that would be some pretty bad a** control.

Actually no it won't. Chasm merely prevents damage. tornado is a life loss cost. Damage causes loss of life, however prevention of damage does not prevent loss of life.
Also if it did function say like platinum emperion, then I could not even activate Tornado. As paying the life is a part of the cost. The emperion prevents that from happening. Hell Emperion even prevents Zendikar/onslaught sac lands from being popped and chasm does not prevent that loss of life either.
Though Sustaining spirit is pretty cool, though I would use it in conjunction with worship I think rather than this.
