Creating a Colony and Obtaining Your Alpha
The first step of creating a colony is to determine who your alpha rat will be. Then you will need to recruit a couple of members, complete the necessary RPs, and submit the form. You will need two other rats to join the colony; these rats can all belong to the same person, but you will need a JRP for them. This means you will need to SRP it out with yourself if you own all rats involved. You can of course have as many members in your colony as you wish, but you only need to link the JRP for two.
In order to start a colony, you will need the following: -- A rat with at least 5 RPs to be the alpha
-- Joining RPs with at least two other members where those members pledge fealty to the alpha. These two RPs must be in addition to the five required for the alpha
-- A territory to settle in. You must choose from one of the areas on the map and then explain exactly which part of the territory you control.
Once you have that information, you can submit the following alpha request form by posting it in the thread. A colorist will then undertake the process of alpha-ing your rat. You may play your rat as an alpha as soon as your request is accepted; you don't have to wait for the alpha lines.

You are allowed one sticky thread in your territory explaining any information you wish about the colony. If for some reason your colony relocates to a new territory, you will need to RP this transition and post the following form to have your sticky thread moved.
