Water was something that Neil was still deathly afraid of, even now. He couldn't help his curiosity though, sitting at the edge of the lake with thoughtful eyes, chewing on the end of his pen while his journal was splayed open in his lap. Occasionally, daringly, his fingers would stretch out as though to skim the surface, but he always snatched them back before too long.
For too long, water had been a mortal enemy to him, and he wasn't so sure he wanted to experience that sort of pain if he didn't have to. Still, his own boldness made him grin a little. He really didn't get out much. The Cyndaquil sighed contentedly as he lifted his eyes up towards the sky, feeling truly happy.
How could his life get any better? He was learning so much about the world, and the people in it. If only all Pokemon knew what it was like to be human. Would Musharna help others like him?
He could only hope so. The thought made him beam. Scribbling some quick notes in his journal, anyone wandering just outside of the town would undoubtedly spot him. He did stick out, after all!
