First off, moved this to the Gaming subforum smile You'll probably have better luck getting help with your topic being here instead of in the CB.
Do you just need general tips or specific pointers about one of the realms in particular?

Alright, since I love playing the Silent Realms, I'll give you some tips from my experiences;
- Make sure you pay close attention to the flower on your "tear vessel" at the top left corner of the screen. That gives you a visual on how much time you have left until the Guardians awaken and start to chase you again.
- Fi's tip about saving the easy-to-get tears for last comes in handy. Go for the more obscure tears first (such as ones that require you to climb up to high areas, tears that are in isolated or closed off areas, etc) and then go back to get the easier ones. Also, this way, if you step in waking water or a Watcher spots you, you can run to an easy tear in order to reset your clock. Make sure you judge your time carefully though when going for obscure tears; you don't want to run out of time when you're far away from other tears, etc. This can be tricky and might take a few tries to orient yourself to the area.
- If you fail multiple times Fi will mark the tears that you've already managed to locate in past attempts on your map. Use this to your advantage; look for the tears you haven't found and if you run out of time use the map to run to a tear you know of.
- Use the Light Fruits, but only when necessary. They last for 30 seconds, so if you get one, don't run around collecting all of them unnecessarily while you're in that time limit. Save them for when you might really need them. Usually there are a lot of them so this shouldn't be too hard.
- If the Guardians reawaken (you get caught by a Watcher, you step in waking water, your time runs out, etc...) DON'T PANIC. Keep moving through the area and look for the tears' lights shining up into the sky (when the Guardians are awake you do not need Light Fruit to see the tears' light beams).
- The Guardians are generally slower than Link, so alternate using the dash function and running normally (to prevent from exhausting Link) to avoid them. Of course the tricky situation comes when you get backed into a corner or find yourself surrounded, etc. Stay in relatively open areas and try your best to get to a tear.
- If Guardians are coming at you from outside your vision you can tell generally how close they are and from what direction they are coming by watching for rippling black circles on the edges of the screen. The bigger the ripples, the closer they are, and the relative side of the screen the circles are on denotes where they are coming from. For example, if you see a rippling circle on the bottom left corner of the screen, you can assume a Guardian is coming from behind you to the left.
- You can also go back to the circle, which is a safe zone, to recalibrate and see if you can spot any tear's light beams. Going to the safe zone will not reset your clock, however; as soon as you step out of it again the Guardians will continue pursuing you (if they are already awake).
- If the Guardians are awake you can run through waking water; it won't make any difference at this point.
- If you're by an independently moving Watcher (i.e. it has a lantern but doesn't shine it on the ground in certain places like a spotlight; rather it sits in its own orb of light) and it makes a jingling sound, that means it has felt your presence somehow, and that you need to get away from it quickly as it will try to find you. Try to avoid going near them in general. The Watchers holding the lanterns down like a spotlight generally stay in the same place or move in the same sequences regardless of how close you get to them. What I've found is that if an independent Watcher detects you and starts following you is that you can let it follow you until you reach a tear, at which point let it catch you BEFORE grabbing the tear, and then grab it once the Guardians awaken. The clock will reset and the Watcher will have gone back to its original post. But if you can just get away from it without having to risk yourself that's the best scenario.
Whew I wrote a lot. But like I said, the Silent Realms are one of my very favorite parts of the game and I LOVE talking about them. If I think of any other pointers I'll add them here. Hope this helps you ;D good luck!
