Who is Urushima Arashi? Depending on who you ask, he is many things. To what is left of his family, he does his best at the things he’s told to do, and never seems to cause any of the normal troubles that teens were prone to. His classmates saw him as someone who didn’t know how to live, and you never knew what he was thinking. The kids on the street seemed afraid of him, but they never gave a reason or indication of ‘why’. And the few friends the boy had…they all seemed worried about him. They all said that none of them knew what direction his life would take him.
Urushima Arashi was a typical introvert. He never…spoke his feelings. His family always wanted him to be a ‘good boy’. But what is that supposed to mean? In his struggle for knowledge, he did his best. He…he studied as much as he could, but his intelligence level wasn’t stellar so he never made it into the top ten percentile range. He wanted to be a good boy, to make his family not worry about him. Not being smart was quite stressful on him. So he roamed the streets.
A face like his, though, drew attention from thugs and whatnot. His face held a sense of danger and oppression. A simple glance made one think he was picking a fight, even if he wasn’t. As a result, he ended up learning how to fight, and fighting was one thing he turned out to be good at. He was asked if he wanted to make a living doing so, but stared off into the distance, not giving an answer. Anyone who attempted to ask questions got this treatment very often. And it only got worse the more you tried to pry.
As a result of too many people trying to learn about him against his will, he took a qualification test for a high school far away from home. He managed to qualify and moved out, taking only basic necessities. He arrived at the school after much protesting from his family. But then, just as he was moving into his room, he met his roommate and received a punch to his face.
Urushima and his roommate are strangely compatible and incompatible. They always fight, whether it's over going to sleep or getting up in the morning. Strangely, though, if you asked if they hated each other, both would answer in the negative. Rather, they are just fine. So why is it that they are always throwing punches to each other?
