Instead of a pile, there is a den where the freash kill is placed so that it is out of the way and is not placed in the weathers of rain, wind, and snow.

Celest slid the doe off of her back, feeling the weight lift off of her body. she stretched and smiled. she had noticed a moose before, in the middle of the camp, and lift it onto her back. She then placed the moose down so that it was beside the doe in the fresh kill den.

Following in close behind the Leader he slid theBuck off his back and onto the ground next to the Moose, and the Doe. He loved the smell of the pile of prey in here although he knew if he stayed too long he wouldn't want to leave the den. Turning tail he exited the den and went back out into the camp before the scents of all the delicous prey became too overwelming for him.
