I realized that sometimes, things can get jumbled up while playing. If we use a universal "code" for the posts, it may be easier to remember what all is in play at all times. You're not required to use this format, but I do encourage it.

Also, it'd be good if people posted single actions instead of entire phases. This will eliminate any possible timing confusions if people want to respond to something.

The problem with this is that after every action, the opponent would be required to respond. It's easier as it is. It'd be horrid in the multiplayer game that me, Shabatha, Lifer Josh, and Epiclevelwarrior are playing because everyone would have to clear every action.

Silverfin: I was going to reply with pretty much what Fatestitcher said.

Action by action may be necessary in certain matchups and it's pretty much ok in a 2 player game where both players are online at the same time and so responding quickly.

If you add players or your schedules don't coincide I think it would get really out of control.

At a certain point you have to sacrifice some technical consistency for streamlined gameplay and I think that's ok considering that these are games that wouldn't be possible in other play formats.

Another example of that is that I have been taking fewer actions in my opponents end phase or my after combat main phase than I would IRL. That's because it effectively doubles the number of posts needed.

It's bad technical play and I'm not going to make it a habit IRL but for PbP games it helps streamline things.

Only thing I ask is that when people record entry of cards to their graveyard that they do it in the correct resolution order and maintain it... only really necessary when playing with me. Simply as some things I do in the formats I play check the graveyard order.

Just make sure to make other players aware before each game. I doubt they'll just do it automatically, okay?
