Look down at the botttom for a comparison of ds led to ds stylus pont.

Ok so what I'm teaching you to do is open your Ds and install a psp screen protector. Wait did I say install a Psp screen protector yes! by using the psp screen protector you can completly protect your ds's touch screen instead of using those smaller ds screen protectors. Ok so on to the instructions. (if you use a smaller screen protector when playing a game that need accuracy on the touch screen can screw up the line your making when playing some drawing game ect.wario ware pictochat...)
first of all if you do this before one year after buying your ds it will void your warrenty. if you do this after the one year warrenty your ok! now the guide.

Ok things you'll need!
A nintendo ds
B Triwing screwdriver triwing scredriver $2.99
C small flat (-) head or phillips (+) screwdriver.
D Pelican brand Psp screen protector (comes with ploish cloth + soft card.
E not in picture but you need Scissors so get some...

use the tiny small screwdriver to remove the battery cover and battery.

use the Triwing screwdriver to remove the 7 Triwing screws

carefully remove the 4 screws

flip over the now removable circut err mircochip thingy... so you can see the touch screen.

Cut the screen protecter to fit the screen

remove the plastic layer so that the screen protector now has a adhesive side.

Clean the screen using the polish cloth after that apply the screen protector using the soft card. ( why is it called a soft card its not soft...)

now you'll finish this use the r or l button put the spring on the what do you call it a pole like thing...

put the l and r buttons on the ds make sure that they work...

screw down the micro chip thingy using the four silver screws.

Make sure this wire is in the hole and rapped around the column thingy.

screw on the black plastic cover.

put the battery back in screw on the cover and boot up your ds knowing your ds's touch screen will be protected from the annoying people who play your ds roughly...

Heres a picture of size comparison of the led (Light green red orange when you turn on your ds) to the stylus's tip.

Note: You void your warranty if you disassemble your DS on break it carelessly during this procedure.

I just use a Q-tip for a stylus.

I dunno, that's kinda dumb. it'd be more of your problem if you let people roughly play with your DS. Usually after I'm done using my DS, I give it a good cleaning. If you clean it gently-hard enough, you can remove scratches.

Wow...that looks to well dangerus to do that...I might brake the DS...I will just have to live with the knoledge that I need to be carful when using my DS...well its now been a year since I got it and its only got on tiny scratch on the touch screen.

As I've said before, it would be best for those who don't understand the DS's hardware aspects to not follow the above method.
You can also void your warranty if you disassemble your DS.
