I love them both 3nodding
but a good reason for that is because Michael Crichton helped write the screenplay for the movie anyway ^_^

Overall I would have to go with the books. JP / is basically a toss up to me between the movie and book. TLW on the other hand... well the book pwns the movie hands down. And JP /// just makes it easier to say the books are better lol

The books kick all a** and the movies were good too but nothing can beat the detail that michael crichton puts into his books.

The movies. I usually am a bigger fan of books than I am of movies, but I cannot stand how Crighton writes. His characters are not dynamic enough in how they talk ... it's as if it's all the same person, with a different "name said" at the end. Yeah, he does good with scientific theories, but that's not all what writing should be about.
But the movies, however! They follow the books well enough and the characters have individual personalities. :'D

I prefer the movies, and Grant is not the hot one, it ish Ian. whee I also loved the books, and when you combine thinking of how the main characters look in the movies with the thrill of the books, well, it's the best combination you could ever wish for.

The original book Jurassic Park was incredible and is the greatest book i've ever read. the movies are also great and good for visuals while reading the books. in my mind they both dominate their own categories but i like the books more.
