Since the majority of the spoils have been made I thought I would post a concept for a deck that you guys might be able to help with.

Mikaeus the Unhollowed is a very powerful creature and in a Heartless Summoning deck he can really shine. The interaction between him Wurmcoil, Titan, Sheoldred, and Rune-Scarred Demon are really good. Go mono-black and Phyrexian Obliterator becomes a powerhouse even with a Heartless out. On the other hand, use blue and I have counterspells and Evil Twin which becomes a recurring Clone that overpowers my opponents creatures, trades with Traft and comes back, or even Mikaeus at first so Mikaeus comes back with a +1/+1 counter and Evil Twin is a +2/+2 copy of any creature.

Any ideas would be great smile

I'd rather avoid forcing myself to play green because it would end up like the one I already have which isn't too effective against Traft. I was thinking Carnifex Demon would answer him really easily but that puts my creatures in Dismember range

I thought that Mikaeus the unhallowed would be more interesting in commander than standard, but he could work in a heartless summoning deck.

of your two options I would probably go mono black as triple black will be hard to get in a 2-color deck without birthing pod and I am pretty poor at playing counter spells.

My attempts at using dark ascension in standard so far have consisted of adding 4 geralf's messengers and maybe two tragic slips to my mono black zombie deck.
