I got around to writing a new one shot. Not really much of a writer, but I wanted to develop both Ren and Sachiko as well as their relationship.

By the way, would the last scene technically be considered yuri? confused

Well I guess yuri is more of an umbrella term, but shojo ai works.

Generally so, though the people in the A/M/C keep saying otherwise, so I think some terms have changed or have a wider meaning. sweatdrop

I used to call BL Shonen ai as it really means the same thing but people kept "correcting" me on how the term changed. LOL really? because last I checked, shonen ai meant boys love which is what BL stands for. xd

But I am proud of the story. Poor Ren, Sachiko is a wild and feisty one, that is probably why he likes her so much, as she isn't the submissive type and never backs down. She is always trying to prove herself to be better than the guys as a swordsman.

I just go by what the words actually mean when translated. xd If it doesn't match the translation, then it was probably meant to mean something else altogether but if it does. I don't see a problem calling it either way.

Sachiko is always fighting, she fights with her siblings, the kids at school, etc...I think she is insecure or feels inferior and has to prove people that she doesn't have to be a genius or have a kekkei genkai to be a great fighter or ninja. 3nodding

Ren was always being picked on. Not that he is weak, he is just too nice for his own good and only fights when seen as necessary. He probably didn't think it was worth fighting with some of the people that made fun of him or felt like that is what they wanted and makes the situation worse.

Oh yes, Sachiko probably taught those boys a lesson a quite a few times to drill it in them that girls are just at fighting as boys (though her goal is to be the #1 swordsman as she is probably the first woman in the group).

I can imagine Yuko always scolding her for fighting at school yet secretly is proud of her daughters and how good they are, they are the ones that cause the most trouble. xd

LOL well for Sachiko, it wasn't so much her being picked on but based on how everyone keeps saying how the girls are useless in anime and wanted to create a strong female character. Though I'm sure not every does think that, but in Naruto, it seems to be a mans world where they tend to usually get the most skills and power (lets face it, almost all the strongest characters and villains in the series are male with a few females here and there, but they hardly ever show them really fighting or at least on their own) and Sachiko is challenging that. I tend to use my characters to make a point or joke, kind of how Suzume got started, but that was based on an argument I had with someone about martial arts and the weapons samurai once used (though the fans they kept hidden or pretend it was just used to cool them off, I think they couldn't carry weapons at time so they needed something to use). redface

LOL for Chain, I think she sees him more as competition.

She does seem to like them pretty, darn that Karasu stealing from her. I can see her spying on them. xd
