[Role]
Its rare for a shaman to be considered packless, as they are a highly valued member of any group of lycans and endlessly sought after for their power. Normally the leader of each pack consults with its shaman while making serious decisions, and will shy away from any options that may offend their prized member. This may not always be the case, but a shaman will always be shown at least some level of respect, if not by the alpha of the pack than the lesser members for certain.
Because of how highly prized a shaman is for their ability to bend nature to its will, a pack usually does not require them to hunt like everyone else. They are allowed to mostly keep to themselves, meditating as they wish and keeping the company of anyone that interests them. This can also include the alpha's mate, though complications may arise from this depending on the pack and its leader.
Its unlikely for a shaman to be drawn into physical battle, and they aren't exactly keen on getting up close and personal. However, if this does occur the outcome isn't expected to be in their favor. Shamans do not pull their weight in the physical activities of a pack, and thus they aren't as fit or toned as a normal lycan. Though still healthy, a shaman is not a claw fighter, and is exceptionally weaker than its pack mates.
