[Role]

The Divine are mystical anomalies that occurred when the clan first woke from its stone slumber, old souls that had been called back from the dead and infused with a startling amount of wild magic. In turn, it corrupted them from the inside out, changing their bodies and the way they think, giving them mastery over a single element of magic and confusing their old memories with new ones. When all was said and done, the divine became something completely different from a normal gargoyle, having forgotten mostly who they were and seizing their power as a new basis of identity. To them, that's who they've always been, and no one knows otherwise.

Having broken up the original clan by taking on followers and working towards selfish goals that often conflicted with each other, they gave the lycans an opportunity to strike a devastating blow: crippling and killing many of the clan. The few survivors quickly found each other at odd ends, some wishing to continue their worship of the divine, and others blaming them for the destruction of the clan. In the end, the gods and goddess along with their followers were driven out, and the original clan reclaimed the title of 'ancestral' after they chose to follow in the old ways before the divine. Many of the divine feel differently on this issue, some are guilty where others are seething with rage at being rejected. It varies from individual to individual.

However, they are now charged with leading a new clan of their followers, and mostly let them go about their lives as they see fit. That's not to say that they should ever refuse the will of a divine, for their wrath is great and their authority supreme. Old rivalries between individual divine may still be in place, but as of yet the clan is still too young to see past these recent events. Who will be looking towards the future and what might it hold?

Perk

Divine are incredibly diverse when it comes to their powers, some more obvious than others. But no matter what domain a divine has mastery over, it can channel its power into a devastating blast quite unique to its kind of magic.

Blast: Usable once per fight, a divine rolls 1d20 and adds their influence modifier for damage to a single opponent. 1-5 is a failed attempt, the energy simply fizzles out.
