[Role]
The ancestral clan is a tight knit group of individuals that work for the betterment of the whole. Everyone has their own assigned duties and specific tasks, and perhaps the most important of them all is keeping everyone fed. With a clan this organized and large, not everyone has the time or skill needed to track down and outwit the prey beasts that lurk in the forests. Not to mention that any misstep may very well lead an unsuspecting gargoyle into danger: the forest holds many deadly traps after all. Raised as a child to understand the workings of the forest and the creatures that make its treacherous terrain their home, hunters are charged with the task of providing food for the whole of the clan.
Most hunters organize groups and traverse the forest together, tracking down prey and warning others of whatever danger they happen to perceive. In the gargoyle clan, its acceptable to hunt with your claws or any small weapon such as a knife or spear, the choice is left up to the individual. Ultimately, as long as its capable of seizing prey no one will be penalized for it. Whether on their own or in a group, hunters take down both large and small prey, as long as it has meat enough to fill at least one belly that may otherwise go hungry.
Physically, they're the smallest of all the gargoyles, and tend to be either lean muscles or compact. Its this agile body that allows them to navigate the twists and turns of a safe path when other more large bodied clan members may get caught in one of the forest's hazards. Typically they don't get into fights outside of hunting, but cornered they have a fair chance of holding their own as long as they're not too outmatched.
