This is a breakdown of all skills and what they're used for. As well as how to go about making a skill test.

Conjure: (Shaman) Lycans particularly attuned to nature hear the calls of the spirits around them, able to feel their movement and interact with them on a spiritual level. Eventually these lycans learn to harness the magical power of the spirits and bend them to their will. This can be dangerous if not done properly, as spirit magic is highly unpredictable, but exceptionally powerful. Conjuring a spirit to aid in the lycan's spell casting makes it possible to do just about anything: such as creating chilling winds to completely shifting the essence of nature and summoning the trees to bind their enemies. Having more than one shaman work on a particular task makes it all the more powerful.

Enchant: (Mage) Mages of the Ancestral clan are highly skilled in weaving their magic to effect other beings and items, though only temporarily. However, enchanting an item means it will permanently keep the magic that has been woven into it; a difficult skill to master.

Endurance: Just how much can you take before you break? A gargoyle that's able to hold its own either against the elements or to push through pain and keep fighting is a valuable member of any clan. Everyone has a breaking point, but its those who can last the longest that truly triumph.

Influence: (Divine) Sometimes battles are won through debate and subtlety. That's where charisma (or fear) comes into effect. A God-Goyle may only need to flex the sheer power of their magic, allowing it to wash over other individuals in order to comfort or terrify them into doing what they want. Sometimes, this even includes other divine.

Insight: While observing a scene its crucial to be able to pick out details to determine what's happening. Insight is useful in the sense that a gargoyle does not need to be directly involved with a situation, it merely needs to watch carefully and construct the flow of events piece by piece.

Intimidate: Sometimes there's no peaceful solution to a situation, and when that happens its best to let the other individual know what they're really getting into. At the cost of bloodshed, it just might be wise for one or the other to back down.

Might: Gargoyles are naturally strong as a species, but even they have their limits. There are some individuals that excel at super-gargoyle feats of strength, and are able to call upon their bodies to push further and harder than anyone else.

Nature: Its a detail-oriented eye and a knowledgeable mind that can detect abnormalities in the surrounding forest. Being able to tell what sort of tree is which, what kind of leaves its suppose to have, if a single piece of bark has been scrapped out of place, or even whether a simple pile of brush has been disturbed. The forest is a dangerous place, its important to know what may or may not kill you.

Overpower: (Magic) When its simply not enough to cast your normal amount of magic, overpowering the spell with a severe influx in energy might do the trick. Surging more power into a single spell can be quite dangerous, and if it fails runs the risk of exhausting the caster. But hey, if it works it gets the job done quite easily!

Perception: Being able to spot or find something that's normally obscured or out of the normal range of sight. A gargoyle able to hone their skill in perception will be better able to pick out deadly details that could have lethal consequences.

Sensitivity: (Magic) Magical beings have the capability of sensing each other, buts its being able to pinpoint the location that's the real tricky part. The higher a creature's sensitivity, the faster and more accurate they'll be at the job.

Stealth: It takes a lot of patience and controlled movement to sneak up on a snarling beasty or wary opponent, and that's exactly what this gargoyle is keen on achieving. Their steps are light, quick, and most of all, silent.

Track: Following vague trails and hidden clues to find one's quarry can be a challenging task, especially in the forests of Eternal Nights. Often times the creatures considered prey are more than your average timid, easily frightened prey; but, a dangerous trickster.

Wrangle: It can be helpful to have an companion always willing to stick at your side and watch your back. Gargoyles with this skill are able to capture beasts in the wild and tame them into loyal pets that will do anything for its master.

Making a Skill Test

Is as easy as rolling 1d20 in the post actions drop down menu.

For this example let's say my character has a +2 in Tracking. First I roll my d20... and I get a 9! You add your modifier (the +2) to the 9 and get a grand total of 11.

Depending on the number I'm suppose to get, let's say the test required a 15 or above, I would have failed. My character does not succeed in tracking what he happened to be in pursuit of. However, if the challenge was only to get a 10 or higher, I would have passed! That means he successfully managed to keep on the trail of his prey.

Normally I'll post when you need to make a skills test. This will only occur in missions, adventures, meta rp, or when attempting to enchant, conjure, or influence something/someone in case of magical characters (mage, divine, shaman).

Doing a Skill Challenge

Is different from a skill test. Skill challenges are little prompts that can be responded to in 500 words or more, and by posting them in your journal you'll up the modifier of the skill that was being challenged. Currently, +5 is the highest a skill can reach. For more information on skill challenges, go to the thread (in this sub-forum) for the rank your character posses, it will list the prompts available for each skill. You may only do one prompt once, and they don't need to be in order.
