A while back a made a topic asking about your favorite temples, dungeons, etc. including mini-dungeons and the like. It's all up for you to consider again in this new thread which I'm surprised I or someone else hadn't posted earlier: What's your most DISLIKED or HATED LoZ level that you've ever played?

In b4 OoT!Water Temple, because 99.99% of fandom agrees that place is a b***h.

I've just drawn inspiration for making this thread because today I finished re-playing through the City in the Sky level in Twilight Princess (giving the Wii version another run through P: ), and I remember just how much I dislike that place. It's like my fifth run-through or something by now and I still get pissed off and confused by it. It's just SUPER frustrating all the damn time. The progression is hard to figure out on your own (who knew the first place you have to go through in the main room is not one of the three unlocked doors but a WINDOW?! WHO REMEMBERS THAT s**t); when you're in the air with the clawshot(s) trying to L-target the flying bushes you're constantly getting thrown off by the pterodactyls, unless you manage to shoot them all down first which is nearly impossible due to the insane winds; L-targeting is confusing and hindered at times due to odd schematic placement (i.e. I CAN'T L-TARGET WHAT I'M SUPPOSED TO BE L-TARGETING CAUSE THERE'S LIKE 3 OTHER THINGS IN THE VICINITY THAT CAN BE L-TARGETED INSTEAD) and said insane winds are trying to blow you off the place the entire time. Also, the mini-boss is pathetic.

The worst thing about it is that there is almost no room for error or forgetting to do something in this dungeon; for example, once you get to the area above the main room with the giant fan on the ceiling, i.e. where you get the boss key, if you descend back into the main room WITHOUT first lowering yourself down and activating the next main fan switch with your clawshots you've just gone and screwed yourself over. You have the boss key, but the giant fan blades outside that serve as your only way to get to the boss DOOR can't move so you have to backtrack through half the flipping dungeon all over again just to turn on the DAMN FAN. You would think that since TP in general is rather forgiving up to this point you could simply find an easier route back up to the switch, but NO.

And the fan blades that take you to the boss door are just ridiculous. You have to be perfect with both your positioning and timing in order to clawshot your way to the boss door using the swerving fan blades. Countless times the yellow target simple would light up and I'd try to grapple on, expecting it to work; instead since we're always moving around the clawshots are like "NOPE SORRY CAN'T REACH" and you're sitting like a duck on a carousel rotating around and trying to get a good shot at the fans. I swear to the goddess every damn time I get to that part it takes me at least a good twenty minutes just to clear that simple room. Today my Wiimote and/or Wii sensor bar decided to be glitchy and so my accuracy took huge hits as a result; this only served to fuel my frustration. I was glad during those times that TP!Link doesn't have a stamina gauge; I had him hanging off of fan blades and vines for long periods of time >___<; Poor cutie pie SS!Link wouldn't have made it

The one redeeming point of this dungeon is the boss, the Twilit Dragon Argorok, which you actually see flying around the place the entire time you're working your way up to get to it. I kept thinking "if I can shoot down all these pterodactyls flying around then why can't I just shoot some bomb-arrows at this guy and be done with this crappy place?" Nintendo logic I guess. NO KILLING THE BOSS TILL YOU GET THE BOSS KEY EVEN IF IT'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOUR NOSE. But I always enjoy fighting that boss regardless XD

Also, countless Skyloft and Laputa references FTW. Or rather, Skyloft references City in the Sky? Depends how you look at it I guess, but I love Skyloft about 356789876543 times more than I'll ever love the City in the Sky.

i liked the water temple. it was complecated and very frustrating but that was what i liked about it. it made me think and try hard while all the other temples just kinda breezed by. But most of all, DARK LINK!!! He made it all worth it.

Oh man. o_o

I absolutely hated The Lanaryu Mines.

Especially maneuvering around the place. My stamina would run out and I would drown in sand, or I would be killed by a Beamos.

Out of Twilight Princess, I've gotta say I hated the Twili Palace. Especially when trying to get the orbs of light.
Ffffffffffuuuu--
That hand still haunts me.
Still.

And not going to lie, OoT3D's Water Temple is a million times easier than N64's OoT.
o_o

I also love how Nintendo eater egg'd Link's Loftwing.

I'm going to have to go with the Shadow Temple in Ocarina of Time because even though I've beatin' that game 20 times over, it still freaks the living hell out of me, to this very day.

I LOVE that place. But we already know about me and my penchant for creepy Zelda phenomena 8DDD I am sad that I couldn't play through it in my replay of TP before I left for Austria...I feel kinda wrong leaving my file just hanging like that D;

Oh, thank the goddess. I haven't gotten to it yet and am not looking forward to it. Glad to know they fixed that place up a bit XD

It's funny that's one of my very favorite levels in all of Zelda. I love creepy Zelda stuff...... <3 can't WAIT to play it in 3D 8D

You of all people should know how well I don't do with suspense. XD;;

I think the best feature are the Sheikah Stones. I would get stuck on some of the dumbest things and those little videos helped out so much.
/not ashamed of using them through Water Temple

Personally as annoying as the water temple was it was kinda cool being inside a giant fish god... It was also coolannoying dealing with sub-bosses. Somehow, looking back at the dungeon i really did enjoy it! smile Meanwhile... my little bro played Skyward Sword and his most hated thing on the game was collecting the tears in Faron Woods! It scared the living daylights out of him every time he had to collect the tears. Doing it in Faron Woods was different then the others though... he told me he felt like he was being hunted down during every second of it, even when he was protected by his current tear... ninja (i told him that was the point of the game...) lol

The City in the sky and the water temple in both OoT and TP. Those three are hard and feel rather lonely. I do like TP boss, though.
