Do you prefer to watch anime or simply read the manga? Why?

Both cuz
Anime- I only watch eng sub, Helps me with my japanese vocab 8D.
English Dub.... Just ruins it. They need to find better voice actors.
Manga- There is alot of cute manga that is not anime yet~

Manga- There is alot of cute manga that is not anime yet~ Most of the English Dub that I watched are poorly translated, through I find the Dub for Black Lagoon, Cow Bebop, Princess Tutu, FMA Brotherhood, etc to be quite good.

But for D.Grey man's Kanda and Shaman King's Ren... sounds awful D; Tao Ren is Chinese but why does he a british accent?? scream

Oh gosh, those voices are quite annoying =__=. No, it's a Chinese Drama.

both! cuz anime is exhilerating and can go way different than the manga, and reading cuz u can do it at ur own pace. and its more personal

They both have their benefits, I do really like anime though because there are certain aspects of it that manga doesn't have. It can use certain cinematography effects that you won't see in manga. Anime also has music added to it which can add to feelings and emotions throughout it. If you get a good soundtrack (take for instance gungrave or samurai champloo) it really adds a whole other depth to it. Your attachment for the characters is heightened, and if done right with cinematography and music, you can really get into the anime more so than the manga. Then again, manga leaves more to the imagination. Also the little sound effects written in manga are completely unique as opposed to anime. You also find in manga minor details that anime leaves out, sometimes even different endings. I usually watch anime so I suppose I am a bit biased sweatdrop I don't know what it is about manga...just never really had the motivation to finish.

I actually enjoy reading and watching, it just depends on what I'd prefer to do. I love watching anime, I hate it in English versions though. It must be in Japanese with English sub. or I won't watch it. xD I haven't really read much manga, but I like too. c:
