Tull is a town located south of Princetown and north of the Mohaine Desert. The town consists of a boarded up grocery, a livery, a tailor, a church, a barber, a dry goods emporium, and a bar. Though it once housed humans, it has now been made home by Slow Mutants
Slow Mutants are a form of humans that have been exposed to the pollutants of the Old Ones: mutated and bred. They have green skin that glows dimly in the dark
Roland once mentioned that a group of slow mutants had even infested the kitchens of Gilead after his world had moved on

You might think you're crazy...

...Seeing stuff there and here...

...But trust me when I tell you...

Door. There had been a door. Meliora grabbed her knife and twisted up, on her hands and knees. She glared round. Where ever the door was now, it wasn't here. Where was here? Where was everyone else? For the first time in her life, she wanted human companionship and not so she could get food. Her arm throbbed and so did her head, but her arm had blood on it. Dried blood, but blood all the same. She'd gone unconcious, she realised. She'd almost died. Roland, where was Roland? She'd be safe with him, right? Meliora curled into a ball and waited.

That just means I am near.

Mai Du L'ort
User ImageMai saw an image of a door, then a flash of light in which she shielded herself from because she doesn't want to result in a blind matter. She gets tossed against hard soil land. She groaned at the pain of burst through her veins. She curled up to her stomach nauseously and groaned. Her head was spinning. After a few minutes of laying there curled up, the feeling went away. She opened her eyes and sat up. She looked at her wounds and bit her lip at the sight. "Damn dead." She groaned under her breath. She ripped at the parts of the clothing that was covering her wounds and went to work. She rinsed, and wrapped her left upper arm and her left thigh with the pieces she had ripped out. She rinsed the scrapes on her hip and on her left bottom arm. She stood up and quickly fell back on her bottom due to her injured leg. She tried again and stood her balance. She looked around and looked for survivors. She saw a little girl curled up. Stool. Not so far away from her, about a few good 16 feet. She ran her hands around her pockets for her automatic revolver and her renaissance sword. They weren't there, she looked back. They were behind her on the floor scattered. She picked them both up, placed the automatic revolver into her left pocket, and held her sword with her left hand, her weak arm. She limped over to the girl trying to walk normally at the same time. For this was a hard matter to do. Once she reached the girl she looked at her state. She's not badly wounded. She pretty much looked alive. She poked the little girl with the tip of her swords cast that the sword was in, protected. "Hey there Stool. It's Mai."

She whipped round at whacked at the sword with her knife, then looked up at Mai. Her nerves calmed but she wanted something more and before she understood what she wanted she was hugging Mai and squeezing her like a life boat.
"Thank you for being alive." she said and thoroughly relaxed. Meliora hadn't hugged anyone for a very long time, for she had never been in such a position as this. It was good to hug someone again, but she doubted she was going to do it any time again soon.

That just means I am near.

Slow Mutant

From inside the food shack, a lone mutant stood. His skin glowed in the darkness. The new people who had come had scared him but the thought of meat for dinner encouraged him to stay a little longer. They all seemed to have breasts and lacked any bulge near the groin, they must have been "feeh-mayels" the word had gone on so unused he doubted the pronunciation was correct. He threw his head back and searched for a surface to cling to. The last "feeh-mayel" had died long ago and he hadn't had happy time with her unlike the rest of his friends, nooo, they got's happy time for free but he had to pay for it because of his small-
The light outside was bright and he couldn't make out a single object. He'd been used to the dark for so long that if he were to go outside his skin would begin to melt off. Johnnie Doey tried going out after spotting a starving rooster and melted to the ground gurgling and spewing pus.
He dearly hoped sai feeh-mayels came to him so he didn't go burn-burn like a charyou tree!

(( Gonna be posting as mutants to give you guys something to react to, and have fun with. I very loosely control any outter world contact so be prepared for the un-expected! biggrin ))

After awhile she let go and stood back, looking serious. "I don't trust anything here. The floor, the sky, those house things, nothing. I barely trust you. I'm staying with you though, of course." she added and then stared towards the houses. The strange empty houses. Or were they empty? That's what scared her the most.
"What should we do?"
That just means I am near.

Mai Du L'ort
User ImageShe was stunned at the sudden hug. "No problem child." She nodded her head respectfully and her face hardened as she looked from Stool to her surroundings. The floor that has yet to be set a foot upon and the sky, flaring and hungry. She looked around once more and found no one else. Not even Jenny. "I'm afraid Jenny didn't make it. Therefore we'll have to make this trip either alone or a pair." She looked at Stool straight into her eyes. "Are you up for it?" She retrieves the automatic revolver from her left pocket and reloads it. Then she places it back into the pocket. She nods at Stool's approval to be paired. She points the hilt of the renaissance sword towards the houses and sheds waiting to be sniffed and covered with life then towards the setting flaring sun. "First we go through those sheds and towards the setting sun." She begins walking towards the town sign; 'Town of Tull.' Then stops. "First stop." She looked slightly at Stool and grinned, pulling the sword out of it's shell and retrieving it by her side prepared for battle. "I'm pretty sure you have a weapon, but if you don't, tell me. Now, let's go." She cocked her head to the town and began walking through looking from left to right for anything suspicious.

THE MUTANTS

The Mutants watched as the pair ventured into the town, licking their chops and lowering their trousers. Soon, they'd be upon them, but they'd have to wait for the pair to enter the houses where the darkness shielded them.
Glowing skin poked from little crevisses barely visable and yet, unmistakable. Their eyes followed them and the ones who's eyelids fell off long ago went on un-blinking.
One especially stupid Mutant started to go out the door, and the others tried to stop him but couldn't. His pant's were off and all he had on his mind was "fun time." fortunately, the second the Mutant stepped out, he was burned by the sun. He screamed like a dying rabbit and his skin began to ooze and the zits on his back popped, spewing yellow pus onto the hard ground.
"Nooo-oo, I dun wanta doiy!!!" he flailed his arms around himself and when he tried to move his legs the upper part of his body fell off.
Most mutants could step outside in the sun for a few moments but the ones in Tull had a special hatred for the light and stayed inside the buildings for God knows how long.
The mutants all watched their comrade ruin their chances and some thought that eating him would be just as well, if only less tasty. Still, they thought, the pus would make a good sauce would it not?
Some mutants ripped boards off the houses, as well as pipes and anything else, and hid themselves under old umbrellas or hoods or even larger pieces of rotted wood. Slowly they advanced toward the pair at a comedic pace.
It almost looked like the music video from Thriller.

She glanced around at the enemies with a frown, trying to figure out their strengths, for she already knew the weaknesses. She pulled out her knife and rubbed her thumb over the hilt.
"If I die, I'm very sorry." she told her and leaped at them. She didn't attack them directly, she just knocked the boards from them. After doing this to about 5, she yelled.
"You better go back inside, or we'll kill you all!"

That just means I am near.

She turned over to face what Stool was battling with. It was a green looking mutant alien thing. Nothing she had ever seen before. Yet it hid in the dark, and it glowed, mysteriously like the glow sticks her obnoxious friend showed her the day after he came from a rave party before he was killed in a saw accident; a suicide. She took a step back almost to the shadows and felt a harsh cold wind on her back. She spun quickly to cut what was breathing on her. It was a mutant. She jumped back about 3 feet, grunted when she stood her place and sliced it again with great force to cut half-way through it's torso and its' arm. Its' body fell to the floor like a piece of yarn let dropped to see how slow or fast it went. "Don't tell me sorry young'nin." She nodded at her. "Just know you'll die an honorable fight." She looked at the sun then shielded her eyes away from it. Bad idea. She looked back at the clouds setting in. Bad timing, or should we say, good timing for those mutants to attack. "If they only hide in the shadows we should run before the sun sets. Hurry!" She pulled Stools' coat and shrugged it towards the direction they were going to run and let Stool know where to go. She paced running half-way before her and Stool was surrounded by the night and the mutants. The night shook with a breeze so harsh throwing chills into the living creatures and night itself. They stood back-to-back with her sword in defense and glared with a feed to kill these mutants while the mutants drool over themselves like a cheeseburger made for the public on a Monday afternoon at the park."Vaya al infierno." She growled under her breath.

Stool ran after her, trying to calm her nerves so that she could run for longer.
"Where are we going?" she yelled, but kept running. She felt she couldn't stop, even if she wanted to, even if her breath was ragged and dying, she'd keep running just to stop those creatures from eating her... dead or alive. Stool looked behind her, but only for a second so she barely saw anything. Just a blur. Everything was just a blur. I'm dreaming she thought suddenly.

That just means I am near.

Sinaris Freohr
Demon hunter

On a barren hill a short distance away from the town, a powerful gust of wind suddenly stirred up on the top of the hill. It quickly blew into a cyclone of wind, stretching and growing more powerful with each revolution.Soon it was a man-sized hurricane, blowing fiercely and tossing everything around it to and fro.Inside the hurricane, the silhouette of a tall figure formed,in the midst of the wind. With a fierce discharge, the hurricane suddenly ceased, and in its place stood Sinaris, motionless and cruel-faced as ever.He scanned the landscape and caught sight of the buildings of the town.Immediately he knew that it was his destination.

Clenching his gauntlet hand,a flash of power burst from the orb and Sinaris' cape suddenly split into two smaller capes,as if split by a find cut. With several disturbing cracks and stretching sounds, bone and nerves began coming out of Sinaris' back, pushing into the limp fabric of the two capes and giving them a new structure.Sinaris clenched his teeth and fought back the pain experienced from the manipulation of his body. The bones and nerves continued to thread into the capes, and after a painful minute, the split halves of the cape had become two great, long, violet dragons' wings, made into a part of Sinaris by his own nerves, which now formed a network throughout the wings.

Sinaris immediately took off, the powerful wings propelling him into the air.He was soon hovering over the town, granting him a clear view of his targets,Roland's group of female companions, who were apparently surrounded by a group of green-skinned creatures.Getting comfortable in the air,Sinaris decided to wait and watch how the girls handled their imminent
situation.
