In Her Head

She opens her mouth,
but she has nothing to say.
It feels like her throat is closed,
she tries and it's not enough.
What's wrong with her?

She looks at them and says...
"Can you understand?
I'm allowed to exist
But only if I stay unseen
It's a privilege you see,
Not a right and it's not right."
But it's all in her head.

They open their mouths,
And they have too much to say.
She listens while they rant,
She listens and it's not enough.
Why isn't she helping?

She looks at them and says,
"Can you understand?
I'm allowed to exist
But only if I remain needed
It's a privilege you see,
Not a right and it's not right."
But it's all in her head.

She opens her mouth,
and she's got so much to say.
It feels like it's all to much,
She tries and it's not enough.
Where's her stength now?

She looks at them and says,
"Can you understand?
I'm allowed to exist
But only if I make myself small
It's a privilege you see,
Not a right and it's not right."
But it's all in her head.

They open their mouths,
and they have nothing to say.
They start to speak to her,
And she decides to leave that place.
Who put her there?

She looks at them and says,
"Will you understand?
I just want to exist
So I think I'll escape now,
It's not a privilege, see,
It's my right and it feels right."
And it's not in her head.
