01.January, 2012

Happy New Year, dear Gamers!~
Yes, enjoy the 2012 while you can, because they say that on 21.December this year we might have the end of the world xD.
Well, anyway, this is a "News" topic...

Mirror's Edge 2?
Today I played Mirror's Edge (2009) and once again I was amazed how awesome this game is. So, what about ME2?
I googled it hoping that I can find something interesting and...
EA confirmed that the game is going to be released. No official release date so far. (However, rumors say that ME2 should be released at the end of 2012.)
Also, there are some rumors (which probably are true) that ME2 will be using
Frostbite 2 game engine.
Lithuanian sites say, that EA never abandoned the idea of Mirror's Edge's sequels, because ME originally had to be a trilogy.

The latest episode of Qore, a gaming show available for download in the PS Store and available to watch on the PSN website, released some extra information on PlayStation's longest running franchise, Twisted Metal. This is the first episode of the year and it has some other great titles that will be released early February.

The new and improved Twisted Metal is going to finally get the multiplayer attention the series has been begging for. That's right, 16 players online, with the possibility of one of those players using the same PS3 as you, and good ol' 4 player local games will keep you and your friends launching napalm at each other for quite a while. Here's the video from Qore's January episode with more information.

WARNING: Not for younger audiences or the faint of heart. Game rated M for mature. Official ESRB rating here.
Link to the video on YouTube here.

Creative Director at Eat Sleep Play David Jaffe said in an interview last Spring:
David Jaffe
"On the fiction side, I want people to fall in love with this dark, twisted, weird world as much as we do. On the gameplay side, Twisted Metal is a fighting game combined with a shooter. I want gamers to discover what hardcore Twisted Metal fans have known for a long time — that Twisted Metal is a great pick-up-and-play game, but it has a lot of layers and depth."

The game is slated to be released on Valentines Day (Oh the irony) and is available for pre-order pretty much anywhere. For more news on Twisted Metal, try looking here or possibly here. To see the rest of the episode 44 of Qore, look here.

Battleship Video Game Announced

A Battleship video game is coming, gamers, so prepare thyself! Developed by Double Helix Games for the Nintendo DS, 3DS, 360, PS3 and Wii, Battleship is inspired by the the well-known kids' game as well as the movie version of the well known kids' game. It is a "seek and find" adventure that is aimed as a stand-alone story from the motion picture. The idea is to provide a "blend of strategic naval command and first-person action gameplay."

“We’re geared up for an outrageous sea and land conflict with the all new Battleshipvideogame,” said David Oxford, Activision Publishing. “Inspired by the film’s exciting action and stunning backdrop, the game is next-gen naval warfare that thrusts players into the middle of humanity’s last stand against an unfamiliar menace.”

Here's the official game description:

Battleship follows elite demolitions specialist Cole Mathis as he clashes against an aquatic-based extraterrestrial peril in the sand and sea of the beautiful Hawaiian archipelago. Trapped in a veritable communications dead zone, Mathis must command the U.S. Navy fleet in a “siege on the sea,” while simultaneously rallying the troops on land for a terrifying “war on the shore.”

The Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of Battleship will be out this May.

We'll have a launch trailer for you to enjoy soon, so sit tight, people

09.February, 2012

The Mass Effect 3 will come out this March, but what about Dragon Age 3?
Hopefully, we'll get some info at this year's E3 (around in June).
But I'm too impatient to wait that long, so I had some research.
------
Dragon Age 3
There isn't much info, but it seems that BioWare is currently in development of DA3. The news about Dragon Age 3 were firstly announced in Twitter. Well, it'll be sequel to one one of the greatest RPG series. Apparently, we won't be able to meet our previous characters - Hawke (from DA2) and Warden (from DA:Origins). For some people it may seem disappointing, but BioWare promises that they'll mix the best features from DA2 and DAO into Dragon Age 3. Rumors say that DA3 will have a multiplayer feature. Also, DA3 makers may take some ideas from Skyrim and make this sequel even more sandbox-type (not to mention that they might make the whole world map much much bigger). But the official details and official release date aren't announced yet.
