Akira's dorm room is her only place for comfort, so it is decorated toward her personality. In her bedroom, her bed has dark red, wood posts on both ends. They are both designed with Ancient Texts engraved in them. Black pillows, with a red blanket and sheets. There is a simple black nightstand next to her bed, that holds a one-of-a-kind lamp. A crimson red pheonix wrapped around a white dragon, that is holding a sword with it's teeth. Her dresser is against the wall by the door, one that has a giant mirror attached on the back. Her floor is blood red carpet, and her walls are black with different weapons of various sizes and shapes. Her bathroom is a bit on the palin side aside from the blood red counter-top and tiles. Her closet is filled with her favorite battle gear((which is pretty much all you see her in)) in all kinds of dark and dull colors.

As I walked down the hall of the dormitory, I found a new room, it was filled with black and red items. But what caught my eye was the red phoenix and the white dragon. It would be awesome if I could get a close-up picture of those two!
I waltzed into the room, like I always did when I found a new room, and took pictures of everything!
I just didn't notice there was someone glaring at me...

"Excuse me, what exactly do you think you are doing? Haven't you ever heard of knocking?"
She puts her hand on her hips and raises her chin,

I almost drop my camera, "S-sorry, I-I'm just... admiring your room."
She raised an eyebrow at me.
"Okay, I wanted a picture of the phoenix and the dragon. I'm really sorry, I should've knocked." I blushed and looked away. This is embarrassing, I thought.

"It is alright, just knock next time okay?
I could have been changing."
She sits down on her bed and leans over towards the lamp,
"You think it looks amazing now,
wait until I actually turn it on."

My jaw drops and my hands move automatically, snapping pictures of the two majestic creatures. It's as if they were real, I thought.
"That is one epic lamp." I told her as I browsed my newly taken pictures. "I'm Denver," I said, that silly smile on my face.

She clicks off the lamp and sits up, running a hand through her hair she reply's,
"I am Akira, and as you probably already know, I am new here." She gets up and walks to her dresser and picks up a card, and handing it to him she says,
"That is the number for the guy who made me that lamp, you can't get the exact thing since he only likes to make his 'masterpeices' once, but you can get something just as uhm...epic, as this one.Tell him I told you to call."

Being an overexcited 13-year-old, I jumped and said, "Thank you, Akira!"
Then I grinned. "But I won't need to ask for another one." I placed my camera on the ground and summoned the phoenix and the dragon. Once they solidified, they started chasing each other around the room.
"I'm a... manipulator, you see." I said while showing Akira my camera. "I can summon almost anything from my camera, even an exact copy of myself. All I need is a picture and some mana."

"Ah, I see...I myself, am just a shifter. Nothing special." She smiles as she watches the creatures dart and dodge around her room. After a moment, she turns to him and says,
"You have quite a gift there, when did you start using it?"

"I'm born with it. I'm the third manipulator in my family, my father and his father are the other two." I said in my usual cheerful tone.
"Actually, my father sent me here, because he gave up trying to teach me. I found this camera when I was ten. You see, skilled manipulators can summon beasts by just focusing on an image in their mind. When I was a child, well, I couldn't. That's why my father hated me so much, he thought I was weak because I still needed a camera to be able to summon properly."
"Unteachable children like you should be punished." Father's words echoed in my head.
I realized I was spacing out and turned to Akira, "How 'bout you- uh..- when did you start training to be a shifter?"

She sets a hand on top of his head and sadly smiles.
"Same as you kid, I have had the ability all my life, started training at 9. It was tough but my master was patient enough to keep me around." She removes her hand and looks down, remembering the days of battle.

I smiled as she ruffled my hair. "Hehe," Everyone in this school called me 'kid', well, they should since I am the youngest here at MoonStar. For some reason, I like it when people call my a kid.

"I think you would be the first one to say that, other's are always in a hurry to grow up...little do they know..." Once again she gets lost in deep thought.

She snaps out of it and turns to him replying with a smile,
"Oh nothing, just drifting into the past again...Sorry."
