History – Sora was born in the Soul Society, his mother a Soul Reaper, his father a resident of the south sector of the Rukon district. Since he was old enough to understand what is mother did he wanted to follow in her footsteps, to protect and help those in need, and his father encouraged him, teaching him to fight from an early age. When he was old enough he entered the Academy, and when he graduated he was accepted into Squad 11, his skill and power allowing him to quickly rise to the second seat of the squad. While hunting a group of Hollows, the majority of them weak, though their leader was one that had evaded the Soul Reapers for centuries, he was fatally injured, but managed to dispatch many of the Hollows he was sent after. When there were only three of the Hollows left his strength failed, and he was unable to continue fighting. It was then, in the moments before death, that he heard a voice, offering him the power to survive the encounter. He accepted, and his inner Hollow took control, ripping through the Hollows as the mask formed on his face. Sora was lost to his inner Hollow, but he managed to subjugate it after three days, taking control of his body. He returned to the Soul Society, hiding what he had become, and with his new found power he quickly became the lieutenant of squad 11, holding back from becoming captain so as not to arouse too much suspicion. He trained in secret, and was able to keep any others from finding out about his situation for almost a century. He was revealed when the Soul Society was attacked by Hollows, and he used his mask to help drive them away. After that he was exiled, and left for the Human world.

Shikai Ability - By focusing fire along the blade of Tsubasa Ookami, then slamming the blade into the ground, he is able to create large fissures of flames that travel towards his opponent with great speed.

Bankai Ability – By slamming his sword into the ground Sora is able to combine the fissures and wave of fire, increasing the strength of both.
Bankai Ability – By covering his arms in fire Sora is able to enhance the strength of his unarmed attacks.
Bankai Ability – Sora creates seven or more immense pillars of flame that surround an area, with a web of fire spanning the area between them.
Bankai Ability – Kōgi no arashi: Sora swings his Zanpaku-to up and it ignites itself in flames he then points it downwards and a huge fireball fires from the tip where upon making contact with the target the fire explodes outwards a great distance with the resulting blast being strong enough to cave in buildings near the center of impact. At the site of impact a huge column of burning flames forms further incinerating anything in the area.
Restrictions – Using Kōgi no arashi leaves Sora in a coma like state, even when used in conjunction with his Hollow mask, and as before the abilities are weakened by either Sora or his Zanpaku-to being wet.
