Some have stopped and asked themselves, why? The war in Skyrim is growing ever stronger and the forces of Stormcloak and Empire grow. However every Champion must bow in alignments to one of the great factions.
So the question is, who do you fight for?

this time around atleast and because i didnt like how the imperials tried to kill you in the beginning of the game for no reason at all

stormcloak's because i find that the empire is a little to strick and uptight about their rules, also i agree, the begining when you were being killed for nothing sort of made me a little mad, and the rude empire person who had you exicuted even though you werent on the list stare

BAH! You support the racist nords! I supported the Legion because they had reasons for their actions! The Nords were just mad because their sweetroll was taken! Go to windhelm, they dont even allow argonians into the city, go to a caravan, they dont let khajit into cities! Support da Legion's anti-racizm!.. (and secret hatred for the Thalmor Elves x3...) Dont support the racist rebellion, if it had less racism, and a less selfish leader, I would have supported those idiots. But, the Legion are the nicer group, the good group. Theres also the hatred of dark elves in the Nord rebellion! Of anything that isnt Nord! Support da Legion!
Ignore the fact that I assassinated the emperor before I joined.

im going to go with stormcloaks because they are fighting against an oppressive over taxing government
also the empire tried to kill me , so, Kill dem all.Muhahaha

They had to overtax, the Legion is spread across all of Tamriel, and is spread so thin.. Would you not expect more troops to be trying to leave? You would have to pay them more just to keep them to stay in Skyrim, where the racist nords are having a rebellion. and they aren't oppressive, the nords are just selfish!

This used to tear me up thinking about it.
i had my reasons for both and cons as well.
For the empire i thought "Well I've been with them since i first picked up an Elder Scrolls game, while at times they make stupid choices, at this time with all that i know has happened so far, Dragons, Thalmar, etc, should Skyrim really tear itself from the Empire? Though they did outlaw Talos worship and signed that stupid treaty that ended up Outlawing it.
Stomrcloaks, well they want Skyrim to unite under Ulfric, and gain independence, but at what cost, and they only want Skyrim for Nords, well most of them anyhow, but what of the other races who want to move in, or Traders, or the ones already living there? they have a good cause but what will it mean for those who are not nord?
I ended up having a split choice, so i made two different characters. This made a tough choice easier.

Xd Have you done the "Drinking Quest" yet?
