So, I have molds for these and a family gingerbread recipe, as well as the frosting/glue. When I was a kid my brother and I would make them for my dad every year. This year I decided to have my son make one for him:





It was a lot of fun but I must say, gel icing is NOT the best idea. I never used gel icing before so I didn't realize that it would slide down the side of the house even HOURS after applying it.
Regardless, my son had fun sticking the candy on there and coloring with the gels which ended up becoming a rather Picasso-esque style.
