Personality – Hina is bright, cheerful, direct and confident but can also be stubborn, short-tempered, competitive, can sometimes let her emotions get the better of her and she sometimes forgets to take into consideration of other people's feelings, which sometimes results in conflict with her friends and family. She is enthusiastic, but sometimes takes her enthusiasm too far and can be demanding at times. However, overtime, she can admit to her mistakes and is kind and caring to her friends, and will not hesitate to do anything to help them, although she also won't hesitate to put them in line if they do something inappropriate. She is mostly known for her courage, and she is willing to throw herself at any enemy, no matter how strong they are, she also retains a cool demeanour and a sense of honour.
Hina is usually confident in herself, she can be extremely sensitive when someone scorns her abilities, and she often falls into a depression and questions on how weak she is, nevertheless, she still fights with all of her strength and furiously attacks anyone who hurts her friends. In battle, her determination knows no bounds, and she faces an enemy no matter how strong they are. She also displays an almost frightening ferocity and drive in battle, not afraid of punching her opponents directly in the face. Her temper is amplified in battle, and it is not unusual for her to curse when something goes wrong.
History – Hina, and her sister Maya, were born as princesses of the Hitsumori clan, also known as the royal family. From the moment they were born, their mother impressed upon them the importance of maintaining the proper state of mind and their father taught them skills needed for, one day, running the royal family. Hina was the care-free sister and Maya was the one that kept Hina in line (even though Hina was older)
Hina heard her Zanpakuto first and, after a particularly bad nightmare, woke one morning to find her room frozen. After that both Hina and Maya’s battle training went up a few priority notches, training for the day when they had to join the academy.
Before Hina went to the academy she had to be able to hide her reiatsu and get to Head-Captain Yamamoto's office un aided and with out being seen since, technically, she was a intruder into the Seireitei at the time. When she got to Yamamoto's office she found him waiting for her and, after a bit of talking, Hina left again now an official student of the Shin-o academy. Yamamoto knew who Hina was, and he knew that Maya was going to do the same next year if things went to plan, so Hina attended the academy in total secrecy even though she used her real name. the reason she could was because no-one in the Seireitei knows the real name of any members of the royal family.
Despite her age Hina graduated the academy within a year, this was because of the teaching as a royal, and became a captain of the Gotei 13. She achieved this in less time than Toshiro Hitsugaya and is known as the youngest of the captains within the Gotei 13 in the entire history of Soul Society though that strictly isn’t true.

Hyoumu has a black hilt and a glossy black sheath. The guard has the image of a whirlpool, with the center of the whirlpool hidden in the tang and shoulder of the blade.

The spirit of Hyoumu is that of two girls, one with short blue hair and one with short silver hair. Hina has had a close connection to her blade since first awakening her Shinigami powers. Before Hina began training to control her Shinigami powers and leaking reiatsu, Hyoumu would constantly appear in her dreams, in her inner world, and call out to her, although Hina was still not able to hear them.
Hyoumu’s special ability is that hallucinations, illusions and hypnosis don’t work on Hina. This includes Zanpakuto and Kido.

In its Shikai, Hyoumu turns into two deep blue, see-through scythes which are connected by a ice blue, freezing cold chain. The blades shimmer slightly when they are moved and are always surrounded by a mist of ice crystals. These ice crystals can be directed by hand; if they aren’t holding the scythes (most powerful), by moving the scythes themselves (second most powerful) or by mind (average power).

Shikai Ability description - Hyoumu allows Hina to control water and ice. Her slashes create an immense amount of spiritual power which overflows from the tip of the blade, creating a cloud of ice crystals so small that they’re usually not seen. These crystals are razor-sharp and mass around Hina when not in use.
Because of their selective invisibility among the Shinigami Hina keeps her Zanpakuto released and has the crystals swarming lazily about her, moving out of the way of anyone that is within their range of attack, and only attack those who they’re told.
Shikai Ability - Ice Tomb - Icy mist swarms around the enemy, creating a ball of ice crystals around the foe which stab him/her/it before freezing solid and shattering, taking the enemy with it.
Shikai Ability - Sphere Of The Ice Princess - Forms a thick, spherical shield around Hina. Is good for any number of attacks but can only stay in effect for a maximum of fifteen minutes.
Shikai Ability - Way Of The Fallen Warrior - forms a spiritual barrier around the wounded, knitting together bone, muscle and skin. can replace most lost blood but at the cost of Reishi from both Hina and the injured. Depending on the wounds the time varies.
Shikai Ability - Singing Ice Spear - Hina moves roughly three quarters of her active crystals into a glowing edge on her scythes. When swung the crystals are launched from the scythes (in a similar way to that of Tensa Zangetsu) and once they pass the opponent they explode into a cloud of crystals
Shikai Ability - Shatter - This allows Hyoumu to shatter into a second cloud of ice crystals. These merge with the original cloud and, as they were from the blade, these are a little stronger than these original crystals.

Restrictions – Hina tends not to use some of the attacks because of the amount of Reiatsu they absorb, instead relying more on things like ‘Singing Ice Spear’ and ‘Shatter’ because of their relatively low Reiatsu absorbing rate and the fact that they have no time restrictions on their use.

In its Bankai, Hyoumu transforms into Hyoumu tsuin-shi.
Hyoumu tsuin-shi is a double bladed sword with the hilts meeting in the middle. The hilt can separate and be joined by a chain to form a long range weapon or separate totally and become two separate swords.
The holes in the middle of each blade are used to automatically freeze and moisture passing through it and create new ice crystals, though this is only when ice crystals are destroyed.
Bankai Ability - Bankai Regeneration – As long as there is water in the air Hina’s Bankai can be revived indefinitely.
Bankai Ability - Ice Clone – Upon activating her Bankai, Hina is able to create and shape a large amount of ice into her exact likeness. It is very life-like as it can appear to bleed. She stated that she can only trick an opponent once with it, so she usually saves for towards the end of a battle.
Bankai Ability - Breaking The Chain Of Fate - The hilt breaks in two, revealing a chain. This ability allows for long range attacks as well as a type of shield when spun at high speeds.
Bankai Ability - Separate This makes the two blades separate at the hilt, becoming two scimitar-like blades.
Bankai Ability - Break And Pierce The blade is stabbed into the ground, causing massive pillars of ice to erupt from the now frozen ground.
Bankai Ability - Subjugation Of The Heavens - One of Hyoumu's basic powers. It allows Hina to control the weather in the immediate vicinity, or more specifically, control the water in the surrounding atmosphere.
Bankai Ability Icicle Flock - Hina can transform water into ice and then swing her Zanpakutō in an arc which fires an array of ice daggers at his target.

Mask Appearance – A plain whit mask with a long line, about a centimetre and a half thick, over her eyes. Three light blue stars sit below her left eye, getting bigger as it gets closer to the edge of the mask.
Mask Duration – Hina can control her mask for two and a half days non-stop.
Hollow Name – Kari Hitsumori
Hollow Appearance – Kari has pale, creamy skin, large gold/brown eyes and sliver hair that reaches almost to her knees. She is skinny and isn’t very tall. She is Hina’s mischievous side and is often quite loud. Her smile is more of a smirk, showing elongated canines (think vampire teeth).
Cero Colour- Deep blue with silver swirls. It matches Hina’s Reiatsu
Hollow Abilities –
Cero - (sero, Japanese for "Hollow Flash") is a form of attack used by Menos, Arrancar and Vizard. Basically an energy blast, it consists of firing a blast of concentrated spirit energy at the target. While in most cases it is fired from the mouth, some Arrancar and Vizard are capable of firing Cero from their hands, fingers and other parts of their bodies.
Garganta - (Garuganta; Spanish for "Throat", Japanese for "Black Cavity") is how Arrancars and Hollows move to and from Hueco Mundo. It literally tears open the dimensional fabric separating the worlds, revealing a tunnel of whirling, torrential energy that must be focused and solidified to create a discernible pathway. It is primarily used by Hollow and Arrancar, but some other characters have used it through different means.
High-Speed Regeneration - (Chousoku Saisei; lit. "Ultra-Fast Regeneration") is a supplementary ability possessed by many Hollows, as well as some Shinigami that have undergone Hollowfication. It allows them to recover from any damage that they sustain by causing them to heal at an increased rate, closing the wounds on their body and causing any limbs that they have lost to grow back.

Hina has the seal of the Royal Family as a birth mark on her upper arm. She uses a red ribbon to hide this birth mark.
Any Special accessories or extra weapons? – Hina has two bangles that she never removes. These bangles were given to her by her father, the Soul King, before she left the Royal dimension and negates any divine power from leaking out.
Because of these bangles Hina can let her reiatsu flow and not worry about it feeling like anything other than spirit pressure normal for a Head Captain to have
Extra Abilities – Hina has always been empathic. Her empathy is quite sensitive, picking up the faintest emotions and, because Hina had this from a very early age, she has got control over it.
Hina can now turn her empathy ‘on’ and ‘off’, read the minds of those that she touches while her empathy is ‘on’ and , to a certain extent, control the feelings of those around her
Power and Abilities–
--- Child Genius – Perhaps the most astonishing trait of Hina’s is her brains and natural talent. She is the most gifted prodigy the Soul Society has had since Toshiro Hitsugaya, as shown from her entering the Shinigami Academy on her first try despite her young age, graduating from the academy in a single year with the highest written and performance scores in each of her classes, joining the Gotei 13 shortly afterwards, and then becoming the youngest Shinigami to ever reach the rank of captain. She has been called many things due to this.
--- Master Swordsmanship Specialist – Hina is masterful at swordsmanship, capable of utilizing her size to effectively counter and outmaneuver her opponent. Her skill in swordsmanship is evident in the fact that she is the youngest Shinigami captain, she is thereby one of the youngest Shinigami to achieve Bankai. Her skills in swordsmanship are great enough that she rarely uses even her Shikai in battle, of which she has shown great proficiency with. Instead she relies on Hyorinmaru’s sealed form, only using its Shikai or Bankai when things get tough.
--- Immense Spiritual Power – Hina’s spiritual power has the same effect as her Zanpakuto as it is an elemental representative of Ice. Her Spiritual Pressure is said to be very large and "cold". Even before she became a Shinigami, her spiritual pressure was immense and uncontrollable, not unlike Ichigo, and caused people around her to freeze if she didn’t have some semblance of control or a suppressant. This cold spiritual power of hers reflects her attitude as well. She is also able to hide her presence well, on several occasions she manages to surprise people.

She leads teams into the human world many times to deal with large threats.
