Personality – Maya has a gentle and warm personality that augments her appearance. Maya is a soft-spoken, polite, and caring woman who rarely shows any signs of panic or distress, and has a great sense of duty. With her grace and kind manners, she lets others know quietly that while she may be soft, she is not to be taken lightly.
History – Hina, and her sister Maya, were born as princesses of the Hitsumori clan, also known as the royal family. From the moment they were born, their mother impressed upon them the importance of maintaining the proper state of mind and their father taught them skills needed for, one day, running the royal family. Hina was the care-free sister and Maya was the one that kept Hina in line (even though Hina was older)
After Hina found her Zanpakuto Maya was jealous but, once she found out how Hina woke up that morning and why, Maya wasn’t so jealous anymore.
It took almost another half year before Maya discovered the name of her Zanpakuto and, only then was she allowed to sign up to the academy
Before Maya went to the academy she had to be able to hide her reiatsu and get to Head-Captain Yamamoto's office un aided and with out being seen, just like Hina the half-year before.
When she got to Yamamoto's office she found him waiting for her and, after a bit of talking, Maya left again now an official student of the Shin-o academy. Yamamoto knew that Maya was Hina’s sister and was under the same circumstances. Maya attended the academy in total secrecy even though she used her real name. the reason she could was because no-one in the Seireitei knows the real name of any members of the royal family.
Despite her age Maya graduated the academy within a year and a half, this was because of the teaching as a royal, and joined the same squad as her sister, content to sit in the same place and let her sister shine.
Likes – Snow, anything cold (weather wise) , strawberries, The World of the Living, playing music and singing.

Shikai Appearance – Two medium sized fans with a razor sharp circle at the end of a short handle and razor sharp sides . One is a deep, forest green with streaks of sliver and the other is a harsh, blood colour with streaks of gold. Both fans, when closed, can be used as swords. The green fan is a healing fan. It calls up the shield of Blood and the Shield of Bone and Flesh.
The green fan also amplifies any regular healing Kido or shielding Kido.
The red fan is the one that controls light. When held the red fan amplifies any deception Kido or trapping Kido and, when spun, creates a shield of light that slowly gets bigger with every two spins.

Shikai Ability - Chi no tate – (Shield of blood) - Can be used every 10 minutes (4 posts) until reiatsu runs out. This shield is solid and can be moved with the patient still inside it
- A shield that works in different ways with different wounds.
With a small, shallow wound it will call white blood cells to the surface of the wound and speed up the healing process.
With a wide or deep wound it will slow the blood flow coming from the wound before calling white blood cells to the wound.
With a large deep or fatal attack Maya will stop time within the shield so that while she works no blood is leaking from the wound
Shikai Ability - Hone no tate– (Shield of bone and flesh) – Can be used every 10 minutes (4 posts) until reiatsu runs out
– A shield that works in different ways with different wounds.
With broken bones that don’t pierce the skin, fractures and small chips the shield hovers above the skin with Maya’s hands on the shield.
With larger breaks and fractures or multiple fractures/breaks the shield melds into the skin, staying just under the surface with Maya’s hands on the skin.
With Breaks that pierce the skin and shattered bones the shield is absorbed into the skin and moves into the blood stream. It moves through the blood stream and slowly repairs the bones, working together with Chi no tate it fixes any broken blood vessels near the break before fading.

Bankai Appearance –
Bankai Ability Jinsei no tsubasa – (Wings of Life) – Maya crosses her arms over her chest, holding a fan to each shoulder. A bloom of light envelops her and, when it fades, a pair of glossy, white wings are sitting on her back. These wings are about the same size Maya is and go from peach, at the base of the wing, to a silvery white at the tip. These wings can grow or shrink in size depending on how much reiatsu is placed in them, a small amount going a long way.
Bankai Ability Hozon no michi – (Way of Saving) – A large dome surrounds Maya, stopping about 10 meters away (radius).This dome travels in a complete sphere around Maya and, though hard to break from the outside, is very easy to break from the inside
Bankai Ability Nagareboshi – (falling star) – A small globe of faintly flickering light forms in the palm of Maya’s hand. When it has finished glowing it can be stored in Maya’s pocket for later but, if dropped, it will activate.
When the orb touches the ground it will explode in a immense ball of light. The light doesn’t affect Maya, as she’s worked with it for a long time, or anyone touching her, but it will at least temporarily blind enemies. When this is combined with Jinsei no tsubasa it makes a very good get away.

Restrictions –
Hozon no michi – It initially takes a chunk of reiatsu from Maya and, when that is used up it flickers. If no more reiatsu is put into it then it fades.
Nagareboshi – If the ball isn’t fully formed when it moves from Maya’s palm then it’ll flicker out.
Hikari inpurinto – The attacks are stronger when the command is verbal.

Mask Appearance – A plain white mask with normal eye holes and a slight bump where her lips usually are. A large, ornamental lotus is delicately cut from the mask, showing skin underneath.

Hollow Name – Ayame Hitsumori
Hollow Appearance – Ayame has peach skin, red/brown eyes and long, Silver hair which usually flows down to her waist. Two pieces, just above her ears which are almost always in buns, held up by two sakura pins on each side.
She is skinny and graceful. She is Maya’s mischievous side and is often quite loud. Her smile is more of a smirk, showing elongated canines (think vampire teeth).
Cero Colour- Deep gold with red swirls. It matches Maya’s Reiatsu
Hollow Abilities –
Cero - (sero, Japanese for "Hollow Flash") is a form of attack used by Menos, Arrancar and Vizard. Basically an energy blast, it consists of firing a blast of concentrated spirit energy at the target. While in most cases it is fired from the mouth, some Arrancar and Vizard are capable of firing Cero from their hands, fingers and other parts of their bodies.
Gran Rey Cero - (guran rei sero, Japanese for "Royal Hollow Flash") is a Cero that only Espada were allowed to use. It is performed by mixing an Arrancar's own blood with the Cero. The result is a Cero with a much greater attack power and speed as well as a change of colour unique to the Espada. Because Ayame is at Espada level in power Maya can perform this, though only when either Ayame is materialized or using the mask in Bankai.
High-Speed Regeneration - (超速再生, Chousoku Saisei; lit. "Ultra-Fast Regeneration") is a supplementary ability possessed by many Hollows, as well as some Shinigami that have undergone Hollowfication. It allows them to recover from any damage that they sustain by causing them to heal at an increased rate, closing the wounds on their body and causing any limbs that they have lost to grow back.

Any Descriptive Markings or tattoos? –
Maya has the seal of the Royal Family as a birth mark on her upper arm. She uses a red ribbon to hide this birth mark.
Any Special accessories or extra weapons? – Maya has two bangles that she never removes. These bangles were given to her by her father, the Soul King, before she left the Royal dimension and negates any divine power from leaking out.
Because of these bangles Maya can let her reiatsu flow and not worry about it feeling like anything other than spirit pressure normal for a 12th seat to have.

--- Immense Spiritual Power – As a royal, Maya boasts a great amount of spiritual energy. Her spiritual energy is great enough to act as a shield from fairly powerful attacks.
--- Master Swordsmanship Specialist – Maya is masterful at swordsmanship, capable of utilizing her size to effectively counter and outmaneuver her opponent
--- Child Genius – Perhaps the most astonishing trait of Maya’s is her brains and natural talent. She is almost as gifted as her sister, as shown from her entering the Shinigami Academy on her first try despite her young age, graduating from the academy in a year and a half with the highest written and performance scores in each of her classes, joining the Gotei 13 shortly afterwards.

--- Expert Strategist & Tactician – Despite her age, Maya has repeatedly shown great instincts and intuition in battle. She is generally aware of everything in her presence and also able to see through most deceptions.
Shunpo Expert – Maya is highly proficient in Shunpo. She was taught for a while by Yoruichi Shihoin as a personal student and has picked up all of Yoruichi’s skills to a high level then added her own touches to them.
Kido Expert - Maya is highly proficient in Kido and is capable of performing high-level Kido spells without the incantation.
Hakuda Combatant - Maya is on the same level as her sister and is the only one who knows all Hina’s little tricks.
