Squad 6 is in charge of the security within the Seireitei and making sure the laws of the Seireitei are upheld. In minor offences Squad 6 is in charge of trying and punishing the offenders while, in larger cases they are in charge of detaining the offenders until the matter can be brought to attention of the other captains or Central 46.
The most notable feature of Squad 6 is the fact that the majority of Squad members have ZanpakutÅ which boost their own powers in some way or inhibit the abilities of the offender
