Yeah..well I saw Hairspray last month and I wanted this shirt that says "Mama I'm A Big Girl Now." I mean I was reaaalllly looking forward to buying it. But, no..I couldn't for when I got there is was only for skinny skinny girls with no boobs. So, I had to buy the ugly shirt that just says the name of the show and itches like hell.
So I wanted to complain to the people of the show saying, "Your show is about heavy weight females and how big women are still beautiful. Though once you leave the show and go into your gift shop the whole idea is cut out for your clothes don't fit the beautiful big girl." I have no clue who to complain about with this..so I guess I could just complain to you guys.
It's not just that store it's like stores all over. I hate shopping..and I hate buying things. Nothing ever fits me. Either too big or too small..to short or too long. Though I'm having trouble with too small or too big. I shop at Torrid a lot, but people in my school make fun of me for it. "Torrid is for fat girls." Well, so what if it is..I like there clothes..but Junior boys just need to stick there head in there a** over here. I mean people who made fun of me for Torrid liked my Talent Show dress and when I told them I got it at the store they were jealous.
I just don't understand why clothes company's don't make plus size clothes along with there other clothes. I mean it would be so mach easier to go out shopping with my friends if I could buy clothes in there stores..

Some of the other things at the gift shop or some of the clothes should have a number you can contact for "questions/commnets?", or an email adress or something.

Places like that just piss me off! I dont really have a problem with most clothes, but all the ones that I really like dont really fit me anymore because of my boobs! The world encourages us to have big boobs, but then gets mad when they are too big! Its just so frustrating! And I want models to die because they are killing themselves to look pretty! Why cant they just be normal and eat like normal people! You dont need to be anorexic to be beautiful! You need to have some looks, sure, but all the guys that really matter fall in love with you for your personality, not because you are a nice piece of a**!!!!! scream scream scream scream .....Ok, my rant is over...

Considering HOW many women are plus-sized, stores are really shooting themselves in the foot by not having a plus-sized sections. It's not the labels themselves that are to blame, as plenty of them MAKE plus-sized clothes...just that clothing stores don't carry them.

Uggg......I totally know how you feel on the shopping aspect, I went out to find a new pair of jeans to replace the ones that ripped....LOL, well when I went to try on pants....THEY WERE ALL TOO SMALL ON ME....uggg, so then I went up another size to where i didnt wanna go again, and they were too big, I mean how can that happen, one size is too small then the next size up is too big..JEEZ its dificult to get a good pair of pants...
finally I had to get a pair of CAPRIS that fit me, but its too cold yet to wear them...UGGG

This is exactly the reason I got into making custom clothing. I was tired of looking for clothes that fit AND looked good. Fashion Bug occasionally does good for me, and Wal-Mart usually has some good things, but I love all kinds and colors of fabrics, with the exception of polyester, which is what is usually what is used for plus-sized clothes that don't cost a fortune. I sew, I embroider, I do beading and jewelry. I don't want to put up with mainstream 'skinny people are the only ones that really matter' crap, and I don't have to. I also don't believe that you should have to pay ten dollars more for a couple inches that they didn't have to cut off of the fabric. evil I am a 22W, and I have more talent, grace and charm than some of the Oh-So-Wonderful skinny people of the world. Most larger women do. So there. Wow, this thread is rant-inspiring. whee

Give it time, cultural trends will eventually be forced to cater to the larger women, and larger people will become more accepted.
Mostly because everyone is getting fatter.
I love hairspray. I saw it two years ago and I still sing the songs out loud every time i play the CD or my iPod. 4laugh

Awhile ago, I was making myself a really pretty halter top out of some Raspberry costume satin, but my sister Angela (SquishehAngeh) kept bugging me and shouting right when I was making important cuts. So now it's just a botched piece or two of fabric sitting in the sewing kit. I'll do something with it eventually...

I agree with you. I don't understand why clothing store don't make big and small sizes alike, and when they do they seperate the sections with a huge sign that says PLUS SIZED. Geigh.. maybe you can find a better variety of hairspray stuff online? If not I'd contacted the company that manufactures the t shirts.
