SO. The animation was.... terrible... their budget pretty much went into the special effects. But other than that, the plot was good. There were good twists, the action scenes were fun, and there's a great scene with Al in the end. ;D Worth it, see it if you can.

Hey Cataberry, just thought I should tell you to watch Milos.
The animation is different but not all bad (things lacking include occasional close-ups of faces and zoomed out "crowd shots" are a bit of a step down visually. Changed are the shape and tone of some character's-Riza, Roy, to name a few-eyes, as well as the rounded, blunt look of Ed's and some other's hair.). The film itself starts out slow and with some preface for newcomers an old timer like you might find dull, but picks up very quickly, sustaining itself until the end. And trust me, you're not going to see a few of the twists coming. Voice acting (theater I saw it in played the dubbed version) begins sounding a little painful and/or choppy, but I promise, it's only in the beginning. (Mignogna awesome as ever~)
Gosh, I'm trying to resist spoiling it all! sweatdrop The alchemy is flat-out awesome - maybe the most I've seen in such a time period, save the [FMA series's] big finale against the Father. New on the scene is Milosian alchemy, which uses different circles, and has a different appearance - the "lightning"-like look isn't as sharp around the edges, and either violet or bright green. Purple is the more usual (?) method, and green is only for a certain technique of Milosian healing alchemy. Again, the animation style is different, but there are a hell of a lot of excellent, no-holds-barred battles between individual characters, Milosian, Cretan, and Amestrian forces.
Waaah, to end my little persuasive piece/preview, I will mention that Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos also includes yet another train-top battle, a plethora of mustaches (quite useful disguises, you know.), someone who may very well be Yoki's brother, chimeras, Stones, and a little bit of romance for Al. : )
Okay, think I'm done, haha...

Agreed! And I am SO GLAD you mentioned that Yoki imposter. Just as annoying, and with curly hair, so maybe he's a hybrid with the Armstrong line!
