Codename: Spider-Man
Age: Early twenties
Power: Spider-sense, (early awareness of danger) superhuman strength, super endurance, mechanical web-shooters of his own design
Bio: Peter Parker was bitten by a radioactive spider in high school, and the spider bite caused him to develop abilities powers similar to that of a spider. He was soon able to crawl up walls and sense imminent danger, and eventually even developed his own method of creating webs to swing from. Upon the death of his Uncle Ben, Peter decided that 'With Great Power comes Great Responsibility', and thus became Spider-Man.
He usually lives with his Aunt May in Queens and is in love with Mary Jane, (though he's dated quite a few ladies over the years, and is often single). While he is not very well respected among the citizens of New York, he is friends with many other heroes and has a long list of villains who would personally like to see him dead. Spider-Man's arch-nemesis would arguably be The Green Goblin (Norman Osborn), who has gone above and beyond the manipulations of a typical nemesis in order to specifically ruin Peter's life and harm his loved ones.
Always the underdog, Peter is routinely out-manned and out-gunned, but still manages to throw in wise-cracks between punches, and usually comes out on top in the end.

Pigeons began to fly beneath the Amazing Spider-Man's web-covered boots as he swung past them on his web-line. It took a while with the whole Spider-Island business, but he was finally back on top. Peter swung past Time Square with Mayor J. Jonah Jameson's cheerful mug spread across the giant TVs, denouncing Spider-Man as a menace, once again. "They're calling me a menace, again? Seriously? You need to get some new material, JJ. Your stuff's so stale it's like the bread in my kitchen." He thought to himself as he swung past the roof tops of the city. He had just got back from visiting his Aunt May and her husband, and going on a mission with the FF. All in all life was fairly good. So far...
