After reading this mornings post for the day. It made me think of some our traditions and how some changed after my Grandmother died. Would anyone like to share some of your family CHRISTmas traditions? I'd love to hear about them! Peace to you all and have a very merry CHRISTmas!

One of my favorite family traditions is getting together on Christmas eve and opening one present, its always alot of fun. When I was younger I would put out milk and cookies for Santa with my brother and my dad would read to us before we went to bed, but now we're older. whee Merry Christmas everyone!!

There were so many traditions that we did. But in recent years, my children and I have lost the interest in what Christmas has come to mean. It's taken some time, but we've completely re-done how we do Christmas, and bringing Christ back into it. Now there's a new generation, ans we'll see just how well it holds up. The first thing we did was to sit and talk about all of the things that bothered us about the holiday. And we threw all of that out. No more stress, no debt associated with it, no more obligation to wordly things. We still give gifts, we still have dinner (and cook and bake everything we can imagine, just because we can), we still give things away, and help the community where we can (even more now). The funny thing is, these are things that we do all the time. Which is the way it's supposed to be. We just cut out all of the things that weren't necessary - over-spending, going to every single party just because there was one, decorating with tons of things, to the point where the clutter was hard to deal with. It's so much better now. Thank you. and God bless.
